OK, so I've been seeing MULTIPLE posts on my dash about Palestine and I'm thinking, "Yeah, but what about Ukraine? Don't any of us still care about them?" Keep in mind that Russia and Iran are allies.
Like I mentioned in my last post, I tend not to dwell on politics much, but I accidentally came across an article in Politico about the history of Russian colonialism in Alaska, and just when I thought I couldn't hate Putin any more...ooh boy. Read it here.
I realize a bunch of you are probably tired of hearing about the war in Ukraine, but here's an interesting video I found that shows just how poorly the Russian Armed Forces are doing. Granted, the information is from about a month ago, but I doubt things have changed to Russia's favor.
I have to be completely honest about something: if any of you have read an appreciable number of my fanfics, you may have noticed that a few of them contain anti-Russia themes. The truth is, I didn't write these fics to discriminate against the people of Russia. I'm just so pissed off by Putin and have been pissed off about him even before anything involving Ukraine, so I wanted to do something to denounce unchecked fascism and tyranny in any form.
Actually, while I'm still being honest, I'm very fascinated by the culture of Russia and other Eastern European and Balkan countries, whether or not they were part of the Soviet Union. My first hope is that any Russian servicefolk currently fighting in Ukraine will realize that Ukraine is not their enemy. My second hope is that the people of Russia will find a way to overcome the autocratic rule of Putin and institute a government that truly believes in liberty, peace and love for its people.
Here's the full video containing the quote I posted earlier.

So today, I learned that a Russian businessman named Alex Konanykhin has put a $1 million bounty on Vladimir Putin's head. If I had any substantial amount of money like that, I'd divide it up among my family and some close friends. The rest I'd: 1. Donate to charity, 2. Invest, and 3. Use the remainder to take care of various expenses.
