I usually shy away from commenting on current events, but given the recent state of the 2024 election, I'm voting for Harris if she gets the nomination. She may not be perfect (but then again, what politician is?), but 1. I'm excited to have a woman like her as President, and 2. I would DEFINITELY vote for her over Trump.
Look, I know we're still concerned about the presidential election and what's going on with the Democratic candidacy in light of Joe Biden's struggles. However, if you need extra reason not to vote Trump, allow me to introduce you to "Project 2025", the pro-Trump (albeit not authored by Trump himself) effort to reshape America. No matter who the Democratic candidate is on Election Day, let this be a stark reminder of what will happen if Trump wins:
So, just for fun, I made an AI song cover of Joe Biden singing ZZ Top.
In other random political news, here's an interesting article on Biden and Trump's cognitive abilities.
I know a lot of us are on edge about the 2024 presidential election, and I know not a lot of us are keen on either of the mainstream candidates, but I hope this video reassures you somewhat because quite frankly, I don't want ANYONE here voting for the blond orange fascist who admitted to entering Miss USA contestants' dressing rooms in the 90s.
Again, not usually one to post political stuff on my blog, but I saw this article from The New York Times courtesy of Yahoo about what Trump plans to do if he wins the 2024 election. Please, VOTE!
Hey everybody, how are you doing today? I'm doing all right, although the 2024 election is weighing down heavily on me. I know not all of us Americans are on board with Biden, and I know the nominees aren't set in stone just yet, but before you decide to abstain from voting, or worse, vote TFG back in, let me remind you what's at stake in the 2024 election:
- A chance to keep funding Ukraine in its quest to drive the Russian bear from their homeland and rebuild after this unjust war.
- A chance to get more liberal Supreme Court justices sworn in and potentially undo the rollbacks that have threatened women's rights in recent years.
- A chance to prevent a big-time criminal from retaking the country's highest office and dodging the justice system.
I'm sure I've missed a few things, but these are the big ones for me, and I'm sure at least some of these are important to you, too.
OK, so I had an idea that I've been mulling over: back in 2020, George Takei and various LGBTQ members of Twitter took over the #ProudBoys hashtag with various LGBTQ pride pictures, so why don't we go around on various social media sites taking over other far-right hashtags like #LetsGoBrandon and #FJB with stuff like Sonadow (or other slash pairing) art? I mean, even if you're not a fan of Joe Biden, I think it would be really cool to send far-right extremists scrambling to find other hashtags, no?
I don’t know if I’m late to the party, but I wanted to share my own take on the whole “Bernie Sanders inauguration” meme. I’ll admit, I’m not a huge Bernie Sanders fan, but I enjoy these memes so much that I wanted to do something with him involving one of my favorite classic rock album covers. To enhance the effect, go here.
To get you folks who haven’t voted yet pumped up to save America from four more years of that orange Hitlerian asshole, I’m posting an awesome song from one of my favorite movies. If this don’t get you pumped up, I don’t know what will.
I’m not an extremely political man, and I’m sure my fellow Americans have all heard it by now, but I’ll say it again because it’s really important: PLEASE VOTE IN THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. I don’t care if Joe Biden doesn’t fit all your tastes, and truth be told, he wasn’t my first choice for the Democratic Party nominee. Thing is, I’ve heard enough good things about him that he seems like a better choice than that orange Hitlerian scumbag who’s been in for the past four years, so I HIGHLY recommend that you turn out for him.
If you’re not sold on Joe Biden, let me tell you a little story: since his first run for Senate in 1972, a Jewish woman by the name of Sylvia Greenhouse had been donating $18 to his campaign every time he ran. From what I’ve read, the number 18 is significant in Judaism. Anyways, when Greenhouse died, Biden attended a worship service called a “shiva minyan” that was being held for her. He lowered his head in silence, and after the service, Rabbi Michael Beals - the man conducting it - called Biden “a real mensch”. For the full story, go here.
