RED HOOD AND NIGHTWING GAME PLAY TOMORROW
There’s going to be a Gotham Knights TV Show, tie-in comic, AND HBO Max movie...

The movie will have the 4 Bats as the main characters. It will feature the death of a Batman villain, and the team has to figure out who killed them, and Deathstroke will be a main antagonist. This looks to me that they want the movie to be different than the game (because they want to avoid spoiling the game, they’ll have a unique twist and ending).
However, the TV Show will feature other Batfamily/Batclan members that aren't the 4 in the Game/Movie. The plot is that a new/original character named Turner Hayes (Bruce’s adopted son) teams up with the children of Batman’s enemies to help protect Gotham after Bruce dies. The TV show is a spin-off of the Game. At first I thought they didn’t want to include the main 4 because of the other CW shows they’re in but I guess not, it must be because of the movie in development.
Oh yea there’s also going to be a tie-in comic for the game, I think people haven’t talked about it because they don’t know so here’s the info:

This was accidentally leaked by artist Greg Capullo on Twitter, he quickly deleted it after. He is known for creating the Court of Owls with Scott Snyder, and I’m not really surprised that there’s going to be a comic alongside the game since DC has done that before with Batman: Arkham Knight. Having a comic (that could potentially be a prequel for the game) makes sense marketing-wise. The comic will have an official announcement soon because the tweet was not supposed to be posted early.
Tbh I’m not really a fan of the TV show/movie but I am excited for the game, and tie-in comic

I’m praying that in the Gotham Knights game that Jason has his mechanical voice back when I give him a helmet like in Arkham Knight 🙏🏼

now that the Gotham Knights release date has been announced i want to talk little about Red Hoods design
Overall i love it. The red details pop nicely and the brown leather hoodie is especially lovely. The textures, all the little details and the red bat symbol bring the design together tightly.
I love the tight and flowing silhouette. No big utility belts or bags to make him look too heavy. He looks like he can move fast but still packs enough muscle to look intimidating and not be as sleek looking like example Nightwing.
But what I hate? The mask. I despise it. The biggest source is that it is a mask, not a helmet. It’s fabric and it looks bland. They didn’t make it the original shiny bright red helmet and it infuriates me. Small good about it is that his eyes are whited out (unlike the others), BUT they blink, which makes him look uncanny.
But I live in the hope that maybe they add some additional outfits with different cowls. Maybe the leather jacket design or the Red Hood: Outlaw red hoodie design or even the Arkham version of Red Hood (even though it is not the same universe). Or I’m going to end up either dealing with it or installing some mods.
So yea just wanted to rant a little.
The good news is you can fully customize the characters!!! So I have a feeling like Jason has his classic helmet from the comics as well as other unique kinds (hopefully his Arkham Knight outfit too)
I think the reason why his base costume has a cloth-like mask is so we can see his facial expressions in cut scenes, in the game there will be a lot of cut scenes with the character we play as, and it might be a little harder to see what he looks like while he’s talking with his classic helmet. I think that was the devs intention.
I do hope though that when I change his mask to a helmet I can at least read his body language without needing to look at his face, I hope they exaggerate his body language enough that I can understand what he’s feeling.
So don’t worry if you don’t like the mask I don’t either lol but I think his base outfit is the best out of the others for sure (Dick’s is at least decent) 💀
