We spent a lot of time in the edit room playing around with the sequencing of the portals. We probably didn’t lock that section of the movie until about a month before the film was in theaters. We always wanted Sam to be the first one to communicate with Cap via his comm, and Sam was last in Wakanda, so logically the first portal that would open would the Wakandan portal. And the first person that would logically walk through a portal from Wakanda would be the king himself, bringing his army once again to the defence of Cap and the world.  – Joe Russo

Six Sentence Snippet

Did you all know I can write in fandoms that are not Mass Effect? Not often, mind you, but it does happen occasionally. This comes from an Avengers: Endgame fic I’ve been working on...since the movie came out:

"On your left."
There's so much static on the com-line Steve can barely make out the words but the meaning comes through loud and clear. After all, Sam does what he does only slower. 
A circle of runes and symbols appears at Steve's left but Sam is not the first one through. Instead it's T'Challa, flanked by Shuri and General Okoye, all kitted out for the battle before them. "Yibambe!" the King of Wakanda calls and his people, hundreds of warriors with the Dora Milaje at the forefront, answer, "Yibambe!"
