“Riku […] is a bit more of a visual wild card. The only similarity between all of his looks is how it’s more stylistically grounded than Sora’s. (Which makes sense, because they’re foils of each other.) Beyond that, he goes through some phases. 

Riku runs the whole gamut. He goes from Final Fantasy rival character, to anime villain, to ultimate edgelord, to punk burnout, to JRPG protagonist. Which, on some level, is pretty indicative of his development, but he’s still visually distinctive from Sora.”
