i don't get the whole 'the movie did something the show failed in 90 minutes' thing, because i've always had the impression the movie was supposed to be an origin story.

meaning, instead of comparing the movie against 5 seasons of the show, it's actually 105 minutes of movie versus 40 minutes of origins.

you know what bothers me the most about the movie?

things just started, but we already got a reveal? sure, the movie never said ladynoir have to keep their identities a secret, and with mothriel defeated, there's really no need to hold back.

it's just, i don't think this ladynoir trust each other well enough.

the reason i wanted a reveal in the show, besides my frustration with the show dragging things out, is because it's obvious ladybug and chat noir keeping secrets from each other reached a moot point.

heck, they even argued about this.

but, because they trust each other, because they care for each other, because they went through hell and back together, i know they will be okay when they reveal their identities to one another.

i just wish the show believe in itself.

it's not that i think gabriel isn't capable of developing a conscience.

had this been a story about a widower who unintentionally neglects his son because he's too deep in his grief and tries to find a way to bring back his wife only to ultimately learns it's impossible, sure.

but when you tell me that he keeps his wife's dead body, that's a different story altogether.

did the akumas have identity crisis when they start screeching?
