It is normal for people to gain weight as they get older.
This is a normal part of the aging process and it serves a protective function.
Telling people that they should weight the same as they did when they were teenagers feeds an eating disordered culture
It’s ok to be fat
You develop more heavy tissue like muscle mass and bigger bones, and the bacteria to help you digest that lines your intestines weigh 4 pounds guys. I was a "late bloomer" primarily because my mother never properly fed me, I was so active yet never ate enough so my body cannibalized any muscle mass I grew and I didn't develop a chest until I moved out at 21 because she thought I was supposed to remain 115-125 with A32 chest, and a size 7 waist my whole life and gave me teeny tiny food portions. I'm genetically curvy if you look at the history of women in my family. I have a size 34C chest with chest&back muscles, a medium waist, 34-36 hips&ass with near Chun-Li level thighs&calves from working in a very physical warehouse environment. I'm 25 and weigh 160 at 5'3 and the only reason why she still insists I'm overweight is because I have a square jaw and a small chin so whenever I look down I have a double chin -I've had it aaaall my life and my brothers have it too, but I'm the only one she zones in on for having it. Whenever I see my family they always poke at my chin and refuse to look at the rest of me.
