The other day someone posted on the eso subreddit of them struggling to force a lock open and they did they used 20 lockpicks and like

They were continuously trying to force open a simple lock

And they had a 5% chance of doing that

So now I'm curious if people try to force open locks or just pick it normally

just pick it normally. i learned my lesson from oblivion back in 2006.
