A curious concoction…
I was wearing my plague doctor mask in the house this morning, and little did my mother know I had a kazoo inside the beak. Now I put this together in like three seconds so I was flipping my head around trying to get the kazoo in my mouth properly, and I probably looked like I was going crazy. But when I got it and was making kazoo noises in a plague doctor mask you can bet your ass I found a new way to disappoint my parents
Your parents have felt disappointment but whilst imagining this scenario I've felt nothing but unfiltered joy.
Here it is! The instructions to make a pieced and quilted plague doctor mask!
Just as a heads up, this pattern is not really recommended for beginners. There is not a whole lot of explanation of the basic techniques, and it requires a fair bit of precision, two types of fusible interfacing, and an assumption that you can keep a consistent seam allowance and do some hand sewing and know when to sew things right sides together and such.
I am not promising anything, different methods will yield different results, I have never made a pattern exactly as it was written and neither should you. If you want something the same as the next person, go to the shops.
Actually, nevermind, this is a quarantine craft, stay home.

Years ago I saw some pictures of a little plague doctor that you drew. I think in one picture it was poking a plague victim with a stick. Those were such great pictures! I can't find them anywhere now, though. Were they from a comic? Is it still available?
this one ?
Pro’s of being a Plague Doctor:
- mask smell nice sniff sniff mmmm that goodass aromatic herbs bitch
- leeches
- get paid to poke w/ stick hell yeah babey living the dream
- what’s under those robes? boy? girl? unqualified fruit seller? doesn’t matter there is no gender only Death
When you’re in the 1400’s Florence and your buddy starts coughing
I will never not find this funny
Brilliant.
