hey, y'know elder scrolls online's racist whitewashing of vampire player characters with darker skintones that's been going on for four entire years unchanged now?

i might have found a temporary solution.

i was aiming for eventually working up the endeavors to get the deadlands excoriated skin, since the root of the white-powdered-donut vampire look is the fact it's an opaque skin applied to everyone... so I thought "okay i need a 'skin' cosmetic that shows a lot of the characters' actual skintone", and that one was the closest i could get to not covering up my char's face.

i also just recently got the maormer fish scale skin...

It's just a temp solution however, since the scales don't match what i want from her look, and the facial ones cover up the scar i gave her ;n;

but for now? paired with some vampire-adjacent eyes?

oh ALSO, march 30th, a day before the jester’s festival started, i was just minding my business in solitude’s bank, when all of a sudden:

nightmares. absolute nightmares. 

that poor bank teller has no idea.

i did the bare minimum and put in a ticket talking about the whitewashing eso’s vampirism has done to my redguard 

it’s been like. a year since their last vampire update (the one that turned her absolute white) and i’m not holding my breath that they’ll actually change anything, but enh.  squeaky wheel and all that.

(it’s bad enough you can’t have darker human skin tones with any race other than redguards, but they even take that away from you if you become a vampire)

my only problem is dr montressor now has skin whiter than a mini powdered doughnut.

i was just playing as ethel in skyrim, and i came across that orc stronghold in the rift that’s always being attacked by a giant... only i was like 100 meters away from the stronghold and the giant bolted for me and my follower ;_; 

ANYWAY, with the giant dealt with, went up to the stronghold to get the quest for it, and as two orc women argued over whether an outsider like me can be trusted, as their dead orc brethren lay strewn about, my follower, good ol’ shitty cosnach, waltzes up, stops right behind me and asks why we’ve stopped.  He then notices he’s standing on a muscley orc corpse, looks down at it and casually yet almost concernedly asks “Oh.. what happened?”.  As the consequences of what happened were being argued about right in front of us.

sometimes the ai dialogue timing is spot on.
