The Drider of Araisodar 🕸️
NPC from my DnD campaign, the Dexial Degenerates.
Caught…but he doesn’t seem to mind
I told myself this was just going to be a cute little self indulgent drawing but oh oops, it did not stay that way!
I just think Wyll and Ger'rik (my monk) deserve to have a nice wedding once they're done being a badass power couple down in the hells u.u
Outfits are referencing in-game stuff but I had fun with them instead of keeping them on model. The big cloak is also a reference to Ger'rik's original character design from when I made him for 3.5~
I also had a cute color thing with them in game--Ger`rik was always in greens/earthy colors and I'd try to keep Wyll is dark blacks and blues but then I slowly started to put him in more pale pinks or that pink+custard dye. So obviously by the time I was at the end of the game, I shifted them both into the pink+jade dye. Now it's just their color scheme.
Your blood like wine, I wanted in Oh darling, get me drunk and make me feel
Stillness, night, and hair for your current favorite OC?
Let's do this for my second BG3 playthrough and thus far only Tav to complete the game: Kellis, a total wet napkin of an abjurer who, due to a tiny quirk in the BG3 implementation of the arcane ward feature, ended up functionally immortal by approximately level 10.
The baseline factor for all three of these answers is going to be that Kellis is a drow nobleman from Menzoberranzan, and therefore, by definition, paranoid as fuck. (it's not paranoia if they are out to get you!)
stillness: How does your OC act while still? Are they fidgety? Do they have any common gestures or tics? Does their clothing affect how they hold themselves while at rest?
Kellis is very good at standing still - fidgeting is disrespectful and childish, and he is a master of Sorcere, thank you very much. When he doesn't want to be noticed (often), his posture resembles nothing so much than a slightly stooped basalt statue in classic floor-length wizard robes. An attentive fellow wizard might notice that the resting position for his hands is the starting position for the somatic component of counterspell.
night: What does your OC wear to sleep? Do they have a favorite pair of PJs, or are they more the birthday suit type?
As a D&D elf and as a wizard, an obligate pedant, Kellis would be the first to point out that he does not sleep, and has not slept for approximately the last hundred years. He trances for approximately four hours a night, in the lotus position, ideally in soft pants that are loose enough for a quick sprint if the need arises and a pendant with an arcane focus crystal on it.
hair: How does your OC wear their hair? Does it have some kind of meaning?
Kellis's hair is black, unusual for drow, and he wears it tied back or in an updo basically all the time unless he's in the middle of washing it. Long hair is a status symbol, and loose hair is just asking to be grabbed/inconveniently blinded/incinerated in a wayward fireball. For everyday wear, a simple braid or ponytail, tied with a leather thong (material component for several spells) will do. For formal occasions, an updo or tight bun pinned very closely to his head is far safer and less likely to leave him part of the inevitable body count.

Haven't seen Wyll's neck kiss with body 4 yet, so I imagine it would go like this-
Insolence shrugged, his tail wrapping around one ankle. “I don’t think either of us owes the other comfort right now. Or we both do. The point is… I don’t know what more you can do besides understanding that I’m thinking about falling unconscious not sure if I was dying to wake a vampire.” “You would have known,” said Astarion, not unkindly either. He laid a hand on Insolence’s wrist, thumb rubbing along the delicate skin that covered tendon and vein. “Such a pity neither of us knows what we’re doing, isn’t it? All I find I know is sex, blood, and pain—none of which I care to offer you tonight.”
