You had a lot of support coming in to these Olympic games. How did that propel you here and inspire you in your performances?
You know I look back at when I first started skating. I have to thank the hockey coach that told me to figure skate… to learn how to figure skate before I played hockey…and you know thanks to him I wouldn’t have made it to the Olympic games…

Although he was fighting his tears due to the disappointment, he graciously took the Silver while beaming with a smile. He went on to embrace and congratulate Yuzuru. Being on the podium frequently, he was leader-like in the manner where he huddled the other two for their podium picture. He apologized to Canada for having disappointed them, but really he did them more than proud. Congratulations on your Silver Medal, Patrick Chan.
