Here’s a valid list of reasons why this is my favorite Pepperony moment from the past 11 years:

The way Pepper is holding onto Tony because she’s so relieved he’s safe and alive.
The fact that Pepper is able to hold onto him this time. She wasn’t able to do that the last time she thought she’d lost him.
They’re rebuilding the tower together and they’ll split the credit 50/50 this time around.
They’re making room in the tower for each of the Avengers. Pepper doesn’t even know these people (except Nat), but she’s grateful to them for having Tony’s back.
THE KISS!
This kiss is much more tender than their other kisses up to this point. She even touches his face gently and rests her hand over the arc reactor on his chest.
This is the only time they kiss without an audience in the MCU. It’s a soft, private moment and I love that for them.

Most people post ‘Iron Man’ journey and I find it beautiful but with this gifset I wanted to pay tribute to the man behind the mask. The imperfect man, tormented soul with a golden heart who not only saved the universe but also touched the lives of the people around him and who accompanied me throughout my adolescence to this day. What an amazing run and what else to say? This journey and this story were more than good they were amazing!
