Sunday Spotlight: Numel

Numel is a Water/Fire-type Pokemon. Amphibious in nature, Numel are most often found underwater, but can live comfortably on land as well, as long as they have access to abundant water. Numel move equally slowly in the water and on land, and spend much of the day sleeping.

While underwater, Numel take in water through their mouths, heat it within their bodies, and then discharge it through the opening on their back. This process is reflected through their Storm Drain and Flame Body abilities. The plumes of superheated water are rich in a specific mineral, which tend to attract other aquatic Pokemon. Small communities of various species of aquatic Pokemon have been noted to form around a single Numel or Camerupt.

Sunday Spotlight: Snivy

Snivy is the Water-type starter of the region. Snivy are regarded as somewhat difficult to care for, due to their capricious temperament, but they're quick to become attached to their trainers.

Territorial by nature, Snivy require their own space. They're independent from a young age, as parents will eventually view their own children as threats to their position and chase them off. It's ill-advised for a trainer to raise multiple Snivy concurrently. Snivy's Rivalry ability lends itself well to its temperamental tendencies; once a Snivy has decided to brawl with another Pokemon, it becomes incredibly difficult to break up the fight. Despite the challenge of raising them, Snivy make stalwart and protective Pokemon partners for any trainer who can gain their respect and trust.
