I wish this had been brought up in the show, as it adds way more to all the conflicts in the series. 

Let’s not forget that Gendry is also Daenerys’ cousin (and Brienne is their cousin as well). So much could have been done with that.  *sigh*

That’s not where the uterus is.

This is what happens when I read one too many “Arya can’t children because she was STABBEDEDEDED” stories.  That. Is. Not. Where. The. Uterus. Is.  

Not. Even. Close.

It’s not even where the right ovary is.

     “You must be mistaken.”  

    “I assure you, my lady, I am not.” Maester Jurne peers at his lady over the top of his spectacles.  Her reaction was not unfamiliar to him, throughout his years as Maester of Storm’s End, he’d encountered it countless times.  Though it was usually reserved to unwed young women.

    “You’ve seen my scars, Maester Jurne.  It’s just not possible.”

    “I have.” Several times, in fact, given his lady’s propensity to throw herself into the middle of any skirmish.  A habit both he and her lord husband had tried to break her of. Perhaps this…

    “Then you understand why you must be mistaken.” She reaches for her discarded tunic.

    “I believe it is you, my lady, who are mistaken.” He schools the smile from his face, knowing how his lady’s dislikes people laughing at her. “If you would allow me to be a bit indelicate for a moment.” He touches the long scars that wrap around her side, stopping at points on each. “Liver. Gallbladder. Pancreas. Kidney. I confess, I am at quite a loss as to how you survived these injuries. Especially without the treatment of a Maester or competent healer. But I can assure that where you were injured has nothing to do with this particular process.”

    “But-that-I can’t-” Her grey eyes are wide and disbelieving.

    “I see no reason you can’t, my lady.” He assures her again. “Your symptoms certainly suggest it and you told me yourself that you haven’t bled in several moons. You are with child.”

    She sighs deeply and closes her eyes, sitting in silence for a long moment before reaching for her tunic.

    “Is something wrong, Lady Arya?”  

    “No, I just-” she smiles weakly at him. “Gendry’s going to be impossibly pleased with himself, isn’t he?”

    Jurne can’t help smiling fondly, his young Lord will not be the only one happy with the news, it’s been too many years since the halls of Storm’s End have echoed with the laughter of young Baratheons at play.

this was by far the cruelest thing david shore could have ever conjured. I came out of my 3 year tumblr hiatus for this bullshit just to let it be known on every platform from youtube to instagram to twitter to fucking tumblr how fucking mad i am.

NEIL MELENDEZ DESERVES TO LIVE. CLAIRE BROWNE DESERVES TO BE HAPPY. MELENDAIRE DESERVED MORE.

And the way David Shore baited us to come back to this show to watch a relationship, a one-of-a-kind relationship built on trust, compassion and genuine love. That is so rare to find in characters and it was written to effortlessly for three seasons. It wasn’t laced with toxicity and codependency. It was refreshing to see a healthy relationship that developed for THREE WHOLE SEASONS.

If the writers have even a fraction of a brain cell, they will make 3x20 a dream sequence, have Shaun save the day with a liver transplant or something of the sort. I truly don’t care, but they cannot disrespect Melendez (and Nick) like that. Not with that half-baked sendoff to a top-three cast member.

Melendez deserved so much more. Melendaire deserved so much more. Most importantly, we and the actors deserved more. Fuck the Good Doctor writers. I literally could not give less of a damn about Shaun and Lea. Bring back Melendez if you have even half of a mind.

At no point in the last episode of The Good Doctor did I think they would actually kill Melendez. I wasn’t worried at all. I kept waiting for Shaun to come back to the hospital and offhandedly give a solution and then walk away. I honestly didn’t believe it would happen until the very last second because I kept thinking that his death wouldn’t make sense storywise. Welp.

I wish the earthquake didn’t happen at all. I wish this season ended with episode 18, with Shaun realizing that Lea didn’t respect him and that not all loves are meant to be and moving on in the next season, with Claire realizing she’s in love with Neil and their relationship starting next season, with Morgan deciding to have a surgery and us not knowing how that would go until season 4. The way it actually ended doesn’t really give you anything to look forward to.
