Freya progress!!! I’m working on finishing her Fatebreaker set for the winter season so I can maybe get photos in the snow?

The gambeson has been a stupid amount of math and experimenting to get the panels to overlay—it took five mockups before I was happy with the silhouette. The vest is made of a red leather hide I got in Morocco some years ago that I’ve been sitting on for the right project. Every panel is hand stitched with calf lace with the exception of the back center seams—that felt too risky somehow. 😅 The last image is a comparison of the in game stitching, which I think I managed to mimic.

Still lots to do but I’ve been really enjoying working on this one.

Long time no WIP post. I slowly began chipping away at a Marcille dress back in June and am just about done with the sewing bits. I have a lot of work to do in terms of accessories and props but it’s been nice working on something that isn’t as big or complicated as previous builds.

Making steady progress on Yennefer! I’m really excited to wear her next month. 🥰

Again: it wouldn’t be my cosplay tumblr unless I disappeared for several weeks then came back with a WIP dump. This time we’re taking a break from Eivor and Freya to make a @hannahalexanderartwork version of Yennefer!

The corset is constructed with velvet and all the trim on the bodice and sleeve ribbons is hand tacked down. I think the sleeves are honestly the majority of the work on this thing. Excited to move on to the rest of the costume!

Working on Eivor’s belt slowly but surely. ✌️ I cut all the lace myself, and now I’m adding some dimension to the design while hand tacking it down.

Who knows maybe I’ll finish this costume by 2025 lol.

It wouldn’t be a new year without me popping on tumblr with a random cosplay WIP photo dump. Currently working on another God of War costume, this time Freya’s red Ragnarok outfit. I’ve started my foray into filament and resin printing and I’m really digging the results. STL files from NynCrafts and Manlima on Etsy respectively.

This was supposed to be finished last December but you know lol. I upgraded to a Juki sewing machine and things are going more smoothly on the sewing through thick chunks of leather front so maybe by the end of 2022 I’ll have finished Eivor. 🤷‍♀️

Quick Eivor update. I’m about 50% done with the embroidery now that I’ve finished the sleeves. I expect the bottom hem will be wrapped some time this week and then it’s on to the gambeson! …which will cover most of this embroidery anyway but isn’t that always how this goes. 🤪

End of 2021 is as good a time as any to work on a new project, so here are some progress shots of Eivor. I used my Cricut to cut out a knotting pattern with felt and tacked it down as a guide for the shirt embroidery. So far so good!

We’re getting there. Probably not gonna have time to make a scabbard for Oathkeeper at this rate but hey we’ll see.

Brienne 2.0 is coming along really well! I’m hoping to tackle the pauldrons tomorrow as well as pattern her surcoat. I’m pumped for ECCC.
