Honestly? My main piece of advice for writing well-rounded characters is to make them a little bit lame. No real living person is 100% cool and suave 100% of the time. Everyone's a little awkward sometimes, or gets too excited about something goofy, or has a silly fear, or laughs about stupid things. Being a bit of a loser is an incurable part of the human condition. Utilize that in your writing.

Something I’ve been kicking around in my head for opsec when your enemy is an empath is senators and spies doing things like having affairs or other minor misdemeanors as a mental smokescreen for rebel activity. Hide your dangerous secret behind a slightly less dangerous secret. Be very blackmail-able. They know you’re guilty of something, but the first thing they find when they look at you is the affair or whatever. (I personally would love this for BailObi but also Mon is right there)

Or alternately, just get a really annoying song stuck in your head.

What’s also funny is that Anakin sort of did this, but completely by accident. Obi Wan realized he was hiding something, but assumed it was only his relationship with Padme. Not the murders.
