Thinking abt how in the 6 months between tgaa 1-5 and 2-3 Barok:
1. Turned the age Klint was when he died
2. Had the 10 year anniversary of his death
I'm sure it was a very fun 6 months for him!!
Sometimes I think abt klint and barok and I wonder. If they were as close as Barok thinks they were.
Like. Grief tends to distort people from how they really were, and over time memories fade. People will only remember the best parts of a person, the things they liked most.
Barok idolised Klint for sure but there were 10 years between them and he must've been a busy man. How much time did he really have for Barok.
Anyways thinking about what if Barok pursued his brother's career path in an attempt to reach a man whom he loved but never had enough time for him

You ever think abt the fact that there were a few days between klint's death and genshin's arrest. About the fact that barok would have been going through horrific grief but had not yet felt betrayed.
Genshin saved Barok's life in this time. They were spending time together. Barok probably didn't close himself off to other people until after genshin was arrested.
Do you ever think about how the last person Barok opened up to about his grief was probably the person he thought was responsible for it
Despite being a noble, van zieks strikes me as the kind of guy to have zero (0) household staff
Van zieks??? Trust people enough to let them in his house??? Absolutely not
He'd be too afraid of them either:
A) betraying him
B) getting hurt due to their association with him
Not to mention the fact that the vast majority of people would probably be too scared of van zieks to work for him, especially at his home
Also the fact he loses his gun? And has no idea where it went? That man's house is NOT tidy idc I won't be convinced otherwise
Plus he sorts the wine barrels in his office by himself. He refuses to let anyone help with it. I feel like that would apply to his living space too.
Also I think he would put more effort into his office bc
A) People actually see it (he has no friends, at least in England, he is not getting guests at his house)
B) he probably spends most of his time working so it's more important that his office is organised
