• Three season arc: first season is her learning that swampbenders get no respect. Second season is her dealing with her own ingrained inferiority complex because of the events of S1. Season three is her showing up to kick butt and prove to the world that they’d better say swampbender with serious respect, fear, and awe.
• Animal buddy is a catergator that looks intimidating and scaly. Catergator is actually a cuddly pupper.
• Team Avatar includes a sandbender and a firebender from the very beginning.
• And she’s almost as spiritually in-touch as Aang, since her guru Huu taught her to commune with nature.
• But she still wears pants because those are not an illusion, Huu!

Water is the element of change.
