Edit: I should have added more context. This is Rose the Mermaid performing at Blue Zoo Aquariums.

The song is from Morgan Clae, who is just as beautifully intense out of the water as Rose is in it. She's performing a part for Epic: The Musical, which is about Odysseus.

Jorge Rivera-Harrans has been crowdsourcing the cast for a while now by asking them to sing along to the backing tracks. Wild way to audition; hundreds of people will see you regardless.

The song involving Athena was also pretty popular a while back, so it's been pretty fun.

Woooo first drawing of Mer-may! Naturally I just drew Isabela because she’s one of my go-to characters when I’m sketching :)

I’ll probably finalize her design later on tomorrow, and then do some worldbuilding on the new mermaid thing I’ll be working on for the month of May ^^ 🌊🌺🌸

POV: Talking with Dolores is always interesting. Her tail glows like fire, and it surprises you that she’s not more of a spitfire, but rather quite soft spoken. As you chat idly, it seems her mind is wandering elsewhere. She notices before you can speak on it and flashes a little hand signal with an expression of apology, letting you know that she is listening, but is filtering out something else at the same time and needs a moment before you continue.

This week has not been good so far, ick. But here’s Dolores finally. I think her palette was my favorite to work with - and she really is just so pretty :3

She has a neckband, which means she does trade. Dolores was the one who taught Mirabel how to weave, since it’s a very quiet job and is great for quieting the mind. Lolo gifted Mira with her own neck band when she passed her ‘apprenticeship’ under her ^^
