*takes shot*
The only reason the Jedi committed war crimes and conquered planets was because they were sharing the cup of sin and moral failure that the clones were forced to drink from the day they were born. Their purpose was to guide the clones, because there was no one else who viewed them as real people, or even anything more than machines to keep them safe.
The whole galaxy looked at the clones and said “You’re not people, now go and fight our war so we don’t have to get dirt on our clothes,” and the Jedi were the only ones who followed the clones across that line and waded right into the mud along with them.
Had the Jedi survived the war, they would have stepped out of the mud and helped the clones wash themselves free of the bloody filth that crusted their armor before they cleaned their own robes. Instead, the clones were forced to murder the only people who actually cared about them, and most of them died soaked in blood and dirt because no one was willing to consider them people.
Now pour me another and I’ll talk about Padme.
Don’t hide this in the tags! #GOSH #the STORYTELLING #this is why I loathe all the “Jedi are evil” takes #because no #there was no hope for them because they were manipulated into being the only ones who did the Right Thing #even if it was the Wrong Thing #because a ROBOT ARMY LEAVES NO CHOICE #UGH #IT’S SO GOOD
