Danny Phantom AU where everything is the same except Vlad’s jealousy over Jack and Maddie’s romantic relationship is slowly eclipsed by the realization that they are totally incompetent parents and the dawning horror that they pose a serious danger to Daniel if they A) hurt him without realizing that the Phantom is their son or B) learn that Phantom is their son and don’t care because they hate ghosts so much

Skulker and Vlad having a work relationship is amazing actually I love that

whenever Skulker goes to pick up the payment for whatever dangerous mission Vlad sent him on this month, Vlad starts ranting about how bad his day was, then moves on to how the one highlight of the past month has been the 2 second voice snipped he heard from Maddie's voice mail message (before she swiftly blocked his number), which leads him to talking about how much he hates Jack- and by this point Skulker is so incredibly dissociated from the entire conversation, that for a second he's convinced he might have passed on for real this time

later that week:

Danny: "ugh... first Paulina rejects me, and now I have to deal with y-" Skulker: "THE FACT THAT YOU HALFAS GET NO BITCHES IS NOT MY PROBLEM SHUT UP ALREADY"

The idea of a somewhat inversed badger cereal dynamic where Danny really wants Vlad as his mentor but Vlad doesn't want anything to do with this 14 year old teen sounds kinda of funny and adorable.

Danny just keeps asking and insisting to this wet cat of a man that gets drunk every other Friday if he can teach him how to use his ghost powers and he is happy to see that there is another halfa like him, older and more experienced.

And Vlad reminds Danny every time that he isn't going to mentor him but over time he starts to change his mind about it.
