ocarina of time: adulthood

God, Ocarina of Time Link probably had one of the most fucked up childhood/hero of destiny path ever. Like it’s bad enough you were plucked from whatever safety you had because you were A Chosen One, but to be forced to physically change in order to do so without the time to develop? How do you handle this? How do you deal with it?

I’ve always felt in Majora’s Mask, that, because he’s saved the world and had sacrificed so much of his own physical and mental development in the process, Link is that nine-year-old caught between being his age and being older than he is. And it’s confusing. And I don’t know, I feel like the surreal and haunting tones of MM only enunciates it. One can only hope he will be allow to grow at his own pace and learn how to cope now.
