AU where the people of Amity Park INSTANTLY realize that Phantom is being controlled in the Freakshow episode and after they manage to snap Phantom out of it long enough for them to figure out it’s Circus Gothica’s fault they all just role up their sleeves and march off to storm the circus and punch Freakshow in the face.

Posting Day 1 on Day 2 my bad. I really want to color this, and hopefully I’ll be able to do it soon.
I was trying to figure out what I could possibly do for “Plague”, and then I thought, “well, Undergrowth taking over the minds of the citizens of Amity Park seems plaguey enough.” Which turned into a very wild train of thought that led me to the trio having all been some sort of evil at some point during the series.

I just saw something disturbing in Phantom Planet. Freakshow was in the mob of ghosts. And last time we checked… He was human.
Head cannon: The GIW make him “disappear” shortly after Danny lets them handle him. So here he is, only months after his death…

I was actually expecting second place and when I saw results I was like Oooooh
Not actually a drawing as you can see, just a sketch, really just a concept sketch. "Control Freaks" gone alternative way. Danny never was under control and he never was with Sam at the opening ceremony. Sam always was interested in Gothic culture, black magic, all those dark arts and everything… When ringmaster of Circus Gothica makes her an offer of apprenticeship, she eagerly (mostly her own decision but with a little help of hypnosis) says "Yes". She is declared runaway. Red eyes and sick colors are price for black magic (I mean Freakshow didn’t look like that before either). She helps Freakshow very much and practically worships him… He has a strong influence on her. She is smart, she invents new ways to tame circus ghosts (she somehow doesn’t like to admit it, but she finds pleasure in their suffering), plans robberies sometimes. She is going to be a good ringmaster in the future Г_Г
Eeenteresting. I don’t really buy the idea that Sam would take pleasure in anything suffering, but I can definitely see her being fascinated by Freakshow’s knowledge and wanting to learn from him. Maybe she’s frustrated with not being able to fight with Danny and sees the “ghost taming” as a way to help. An added bonus is being able to stop ghosts without harming them. That combined with her parents seriously cracking down at home (forbidding her to see Danny and Tucker) could be enough to push her into running off. Later when she finds out Freakshow is a thief and enslaves his ghosts, Sam is horrified, but she thinks she can still learn his secrets and then turn him over to the police/Danny later. She would never *really* run away, of course. Sam was only ever going to stay for a month or so, to give her parents a good scare and learn how to fight ghosts while she was at it. She could go home anytime she wanted. …right?
