Killer Frost E-1 is coming?

I have a thought after watching today’s episode. (Rupture)

Hunter tells Caitlin that there is something dark in her, obviously right now she does not see it and even despite being captured, she helps the team warning them of the Jitter’s attack.

But after what happened with Barry …. Zoom will tell Caitlin that Barry is dead, which will hurt her very much… And maybe she blame herself for not been there or blame Harry for making such madness and start having a real hatred towards everything. The “death” of Barry can trigger the darkness on Caitlin, because no matter how much she tries everyone she cares somehow end up leaving her.

I think so too. Yet another person she loved is dead. Her friend and in a sense her hero killed trying to stop this monster. The city’s hero is dead. I think she might unleash the darkness inside of her. Maybe losing her hope of stopping Zoom but mostly giving into her own darkness wanting revenge. Revenge for Barry’s death and all the other deaths. Of the lie of Jay and the idea held by Zoom forever till she gives in or he kills her. The threat of him just taking what he wants from her is real and very scary. He snaps and that’s it. Nothing to stop him. Revenge and self protect is more that enough to bring out the Killer Frost.

I love to see Zoom telling her Barry is dead and her going cold. The room turning cold. She figures out what is happening and scares herself so it stops. Over the course of the episode she gets angrier and gives into her darkness becoming Killer Frost attacking Zoom. Barry returns and she backs down but she crossed a line and brought out the Killer Frost. So from now on she has to deal with it. First it will try to hide it or run from it but it will come out on people she dislikes. All the meda humans who are attacking people she loves. The more she lets it out the more it takes over. Maybe the more she angry she gets over everything that happened to her, to Ronnie and to her friends it just builds and builds. Next season this could be a big arc for her.

I like this theory. Sounds like a good possibility. Caitlin has been through a lot. And I can understand her breaking down if Zoom tells her that Barry is dead. Enough is enough. Becoming Killer Frost as the result is unfortunate but still has a chance of happening.

Yes. This is epic.
