Finally watching Supernatural: or alternatively: one scene per episode while watching SPN for the first time.
“Put the gun down, Jake.”
1x03 Dead In The Water
The Winter Soldier. He’s credited for over two dozen assassinations in the last 50 years. Five years ago I was escorting a nuclear engineer out of Iran, somebody shot at my tires near Odessa. We lost control, went straight over a cliff, I pulled us out, but the Winter Soldier was there. I was covering my engineer, so he shot him straight through me. A Soviet slug, no rifling.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER 2014, dir. Anthony & Joe Russo
every sastiel scene [17/???]
This is one of the first and only times that Sam and Castiel are genuinely at odds with one another, each believing in their own approach. Cas can’t risk the chance that Jesse can’t be saved and is the cause of Heaven’s destruction. Sam can’t risk that an innocent child is killed for nothing simply because of what he might become. But both of them are missing a key point: Sam, while manipulated, didn’t veer onto a dark path and was saved before true darkness could take hold. And that Castiel, while a servant of Heaven, hadn’t been inclined to strike Sam down for the same ‘dark destiny’ that now awaits Jesse.
