as much as I love Superman & Lois canon, I would love to see how the story would have went if Jon was the twin to get powers.

I feel like powers would have affected Jon differently than Jordan just by the way they express emotion. Jordan screams, kicks, and does whatever he can to express his negative emotions, but Jon doesn’t. He bottles all his feelings up and doesn’t speak about them, hoping they’ll go away if he just keeps ignoring them. If Jon’s upset, his powers want to react to his strong emotions, help relieve the stress or whatever he’s feeling but since Jon doesn’t allow himself to feel, his powers would keep building up until something finally puts him over the edge and BOOM. Weeks or months of bottled up feelings are finally released in powerful blast of heat vision that melts through whatever it’s aimed at into a puddle of bubbling goo. 

Every time I watch Jonathan, I feel as though I’m watching a ticking time bomb. Like we’re all still waiting for something with him. Not necessarily powers, but something.

Not me being convinced someone is actually going to kill Jonathan by the end of the season because he's already had two near misses, Jordan has said "would have sucked to come home and find out I was an only child" which is a huge foreshadow in my opinion, and now the Kryptonian possessing Kyle has literally said he’s going to kill him.

I am in love with Superman and Lois. The writing team have been so delicate in each element of the series. They've somehow managed to justify every single action a character makes, so that the viewer can at least understand why they do a certain thing, if not agree. Then you have the cast, who are just so incredibly talented and clearly committed to delivering the best story possible.

And don't even get me started on the outstanding visual effects.

It's so rare to find a show you can feel the dedication in, but so far, that's exactly the kind of show Superman and Lois is.

I just really love the dynamic between Jonathan and Jordan on Superman and Lois. Jordan is the weird, bullied kid with an anxiety disorder who gets superpowers and suddenly feels like he can use them to fit in… only to realize they’re far more of a burden than he expected. He feels so much but has struggled most of his life to open up out of fear or rejection. For the longest time, he felt like his dad favored his brother, and he was isolated. Having these weird powers is hard and scary, so he lashes out sometimes. He’s very human and very young. 

Then you have Jonathan, for whom everything came easy most of his life; he’s handsome, he’s a star football player, he has a girlfriend, but he’s also a genuinely good kid. When the family moves to Smallville, he loses pretty much all of that. When his brother starts showing his powers, Jon is supportive and puts his own needs on the backburner. Does he get frustrated at times? Absolutely, but he always comes around to support Jordan.

These brothers could so easily be written as clichés, but they are so human, so loving, and so so wonderful. The Kent twins are the best, and I really love them.

Jonathan deserves so much more screen time. I have nothing against Jordan, I love Jordan too. But damn, Jon deserves so much more than he gets. More attention, love, screentime, everything okay??

He's been through so much, and he's such a good mf brother and son no matter how it negatively effects him djnxncsnndns I also really need Clark to split his attention a lil better but you're doing great sweetie 🥰
