I think one of the MANY crimes of SPN was reintroducing Adam in the last season just to give him nothing new, but also somehow forget his main character drive,

The first few things you see him do is eat junk food and talk about college, two things we already knew about him. and then not much else is revealed about him or he doesn't really talk about anything about himself. just talking to Michael

And they also forgot that the only reason he did all of that was for his mom and when he got out of hell that was never mentioned, Adam's main motive for saying yes to Michael.

I did not understand why the fandom went crazy about Michael and Adam the first go around, but upon the rewatch... I see it.

adam and michael were in hell for over a thousand years. like fully think about that. that is a long fucking time to be in a single place let alone with another person. like i can hardly imagine being in the same space as one person and that one person only for a week with no breaks from them, let alone a year.

they were literally stuck together for going on decades.

no wonder theyre so different when they finally get out, they probably talked about what they would want to do a million times. they were moving around so much because they talked about where in the world adam would like to see if they got topside. they finally got out and what did they immediately go do? get a burger and fries. what an incredibly human thing to do. imagine the kind influence adam must have had on michael for him to sit there nicely and let adam enjoy something. michael, the character repeatedly stated in canon to be heavens strongest and deadliest weapon, sitting there on a dinner date.

this has almost definitely been said before, but one of my favorite things about midam is that michael chose adam.

yes, at first it was only because dean wouldn't say yes and adam was the only other choice. but after they get thrown in hell, michael chooses to protect adam. he chooses to talk to him.

and after they get out, michael doesn't return to heaven, he doesn't go back to his brothers and sisters to lead, like he did in the past. he stayed with adam. and at that point he still had faith in chuck. he still thought somewhat about chuck's plans. and he chose anyway to let adam be his guide!!!!!

like. adam was the first choice that michael ever made and that just shows so much about their relationship.

Does anyone ever think about why the fuck Micheal went to Egypt

Okay but if you think about it, Michael didn’t really have anything to gain from him and Adam’s agreement like… he literally just wanted a friend. The whole thing with he agreement is that they’d coexist which Michael at first wouldn’t need, he’s an ARCHANGEL who has spent years and years by himself, but no he really just decided to agree to coexist with AND eventually give over control to (at the time) an insignificant human.

because... why would michael check his wrists if it wasn't to make sure adam was okay. michael had never shown any care towards his vessels' well-beings before this episode (don't get me started on "you know that stuff'll kill you, right?"), and it's not like the cuffs physically hurt michael himself. so it's just. because. it's adam. adam's body.

which, of course. you know how much it probably means to adam to have his physical form back? after 1200 years? michael doesn't want that happiness to be sullied in any way.

The writers had to know what they were doing with Michael and Adam. "You'll be my guide" "We only had each other" there's not a heterosexual explanation for that

besides the burger joint scene, this was the second scene that made me ship midam! michael was more upset that adam was left behind and wanted the boys to show at least remorse or something but when michael let adam talk to them, it's obvious the boys weren't going to say sorry so he came back out, probably knowing adam was overwhelmed with raw emotion
