Imagine waiting for the coast guard or whatever to show up and instead a replica of 18th century merchant ship pulls up and tows you to the coast.
pov: you’ve been transported to the 17th century
living the fucking dream, mate.
Yes yes yes
the ocean as a metaphor ALWAYS slaps. the ocean as a hungry force that wants to consume you? the ocean as something vast and unknowable, like a god itself? the ocean as freedom and liberation? the ocean as the mysteries of the self? the ocean as love? never fails to get me
Time for some coziness! I just uploaded a brand new ambience called ‘Lighthouse by the Sea’ with lots of relaxing sounds. Enjoy!
Sometimes you gotta stare at the ocean and think about things.
Between the waves, Ivan Aivazovsky, 1898
When two waves collide at the perfect time of day
Few things are as dramatic as the sea. And even fewer things have the right.
“Here in the Pacific, 200 metres down, we enter an alien world… This is barreleye a fish with a transparent head filled with jelly so that it can look up through its skull.” - Sir David Attenborough
Blue Planet II
I’ve been staring at this for 5 minutes
That’s what it looks like. That’s really what it looks like
Being out in the ocean is actually so scary because when you look really far out you can kind of see how the Earth is rounded out. It looks like a few miles ahead you’re just gonna fall off or something. Also fun trick: if ur on mobile, double tap zoom in and slide the picture side to side. It looks like you’re actually there looking left to right
Amazing shot!
