1. Arthur Pendragon/Merlin
aka Merthur (BBC's Merlin)
The ship that inspired me to write a whole lot of Merlin stories featuring Merthur. They are a big OTP for me. I wish the magic reveal happened earlier, but I appreciate what we did get.
One favorite scene was in early 2x06, where Arthur is ordered to arrest Merlin, but he urges him to leave so he could escape punishment. Arthur doesn't even know Merlin was wrongfully accused. He just wants Merlin safe. And this is before Arthur knows the accuser is really a villainous troll. I feel that scene is a great what if for how Arthur would deal with the magic reveal in a different way to how the show did it.
2. Adam Milligan/Michael
(Supernatural (2005))
The healthiest ship on Supernatural! They went through a lot being stuck in the Cage, seemingly forgotten by everyone. They only had each other... and they escaped the Cage and proved the strength of their relationship in 15x08... seeming to be pretty well-adjusted after their long imprisonment.
3. Gwen/Lancelot (BBC's Merlin)
I know their kiss backlit in darkness/shadow in 2x04 was to contrast with the Arthur/Gwen sunlight kiss in 2x02... I get they were trying to show Arthur/Gwen was endgame, but I still love the Gwen/Lancelot moments like her giving him hope in 2x04.
4. Alex Claremont-Diaz/Prince Henry
(Red, White and Royal Blue (2023 movie)). A newer ship I love. I blame Nicholas Galitzine (who plays Henry) lol. So glad there will be a sequel coming out in 2025-- next year! 🎉 Movie is based on a book, but I haven't read it yet. I have rewatched the movie, though.
5. Castiel/Sam Winchester
(Sastiel!... Supernatural (2005)) The chaotic duo! But I love how they show how much they care about one another. I met some great people as I fell down (happily lol) the rabbit hole of this ship and consumed the fanworks celebrating and exploring it (especially "The Other Guardian" story series and the "Tangled Up In Blue" story).
