Can we appreciate the change? Like he’s laid back. And then “BAM!” Murdoc is seen and he instantly, goes defensive.
^^^ YEAH!! And I also love the way Mac just folds in defeat in the second gif. Because he was genuinely trying to keep the team out of it, stop them from worrying - or worse, getting involved with an assassin who wouldn’t hesitate to kill any interruptions.
But as soon as Murdoc (deliberately) takes away that thin chance at secrecy, you can SEE Mac deflate… because he knows Jack and the rest of Phoenix are gonna go defensive. And the return shot is exactly that. OOMPH
