Sometimes I’ll be normal and then remember Michael asking Death to take Adam when Death went to get Sam’s soul from the Cage. And then I become unhinged.
Yes, I totally understand the feeling. Just in case you're wondering, my Sins of the Father series is going to diverge from canon after Midam escapes the Cage. So, while I didn't quite get the reasoning why Death couldn't break out both Midam and Sam in the show, I do have reasoning in my series 😁
so im about almost two months late to the ending of Atoning for Archangels by @stareyeddistinguishment but i literally couldn't not do something for the epilogue i was not going to be able to rest in peace if i didn't. so here it is! this was definitely one of my favorite scenes in the entire fic and i definitely do not reread it any time i need a boost of serotonin :3

I love the skyline. The colors are just gorgeous in that sunset! And the way the lighting catches on Michael and Adam’s clothing is beautiful! I also love the perspective! It looks so romantic. And the pink flowers are just lovely. Finally, the running clothes are great. It’s so fun to see Michael in new clothes!

This is the concluding chapter to Adam’s resentment arc. It’s pretty high intensity with the feels, both from Michael and from Adam. I hope everyone enjoys the chapter! (And comments on it lol)

Engaging, empathetic, and insatiably curious, Adam Milligan is not what Michael expected, and the Archangel soon feels his entire being inexplicably drawn to the human. As the centuries pass in Adam’s company, Michael begins to reevaluate his views on humanity, faith, and ultimately the Archangel’s underlying Purpose within his Father’s Creation.

There’s a ton of stuff going on in this chapter. There’s a scene with Lucifer and Sam, a bit with Raphael, and a ton of Midam (both fluff and angst). So, a fairly impactful chapter.

This is my official midam theme song, the Rachmaninoff Prelude in D (Op. 23 No.4). Each time I play it on piano (which is a lot now hahaha) I can visualize Adam and Michael and their entire slow burn story in my head. This is literally the inspiration for my Atoning for Archangels midam Cage fic. Thought I’d share this song with everyone, as a huge thank you for all the support and love shown to the story.

0:00 - 1:36 > Adam and Michael first meet. They are totally out of synch with each other. In the music, there are two distinct melodies that are kind of circling each other. (Chapters 1 - 6)
1:37 - 2:33 > They become good friends. The two distinct melodies are now syncopating. This is Adam and Michael learning how to be friends. (Chapters 7 - 13)
2:34 - 3:15 > The pining/falling in love part. The two distinct melodies are more dramatic. The tempo picks up and everything is more fluid sounding. (This is where we are currently just entering in the story)
3:16 - 3:36 > First kiss. 🥰
3:37 - end > Hell yes, Midam! The two distinct melodies have now formed a third harmony. Because Adam and Michael are better off together than they are each off alone.
