I do believe in fate and destiny, but I also believe we are only fated to do the things that we’d choose anyway.

Forget all the rest. Dean giving that same sideways look of pure, unadulterated affection to his Sammy once again, there at the very end, the way he’s going to look at Sam always, is enough. I can live on that look forever.

One of my favorite things about Sam and Dean hugs is that a lot of the time Dean will hug Sam like he’s still taller than him. Dean’s arms around Sam’s shoulders, Sam’s arms wrapped around Dean’s middle, like in Dean’s first memory in Dark Side of the Moon. It’s way way way too adorable for me to handle.

I’ve noticed this, and it’s the same way I always try to hug my kid, who is taller than me now. She doesn’t let me get away with it. But Sam does. Sam tucks his head down and becomes the little boy Dean is trying to hug.
