Trump declares National day of prayer & pushes it at great length, @amjoyshow @chucktodd @CBS @maddow @Lawrence @CNN @FoxNewsSunday but Trump failed to mention holocaust victims at Holocaust Remembrance Day, skipped pride month totally ignoring it, disgraced the CIA Memorial wall with a campaign speech about himself, visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and ground zero for the first time in 2016 after invoking 9/11 many times during the campaign with falsehoods, tried to turn a BSA jamboree into a Jr. Nazi rally, ignored completely the bombing of a Minnesota Mosque in August, and now that he finally shows some genuine human compassion following a disaster, albeit at least 5 days late instead of immediately like all predecessors, the media is oohing and ahing like it is some grand occurrence that this prezident is acting presidential. All the conjecture that the python has molted into a majestic eagle, the polls will turn favorable and the conservatives will be saved; always the polls.

On NBC’s “Meet The Press” with Chuck Todd (Jan. 14 2017) Representative John Lewis (D-GA) said on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr. weekend that he didn’t see Donald Trump as a legitimate president.
Donald Trump responded with a tirade of Tweet Bombs with insults and inaccurate remarks with racial overtones describing Lewis’s Congressional district. Trump’s transition team members Reince Priebus, Sean Spicer, and many GOP lawmakers denounce Lewis’s statement and his plan not to attend the inauguration ceremony. Even some DFL lawmakers weighed in. The audacity of anyone stating that a presidential win is illigitimate! Right?

Barack Obama won both the popular vote and the Electoral vote - just another Trump “untruth” that Obama “lost the popular vote by a lot”. This is unlike Trump’s claim of a “landslide” where he won the electoral vote by 26 less than President Obama did in 2012, and he lost the popular vote by almost 3 million votes to @HillaryClinton. Romney lost to Obama by 126 electoral votes and 3,473,402 unpopular votes. Trump beat Hillary by ONLY 74 electoral votes and HILLARY WON the popular vote by 2,865,075 votes, almost 3 million. Are the statements of John Lewis, a champion of civil rights and a man who has suffered personally from the acts of racism, so outlandish? More outlandish than a man who tried to deligitimize the Presidency of Barack Obama by pushing the racist birtherism movement from 2011 to 2016 and who also starting a conspiracy hinting he was a Muslim, something 60+% of his followers still believe due to the subliminal mind-plant “maybe he’s a Muslim, who knows”?
Trump repeated his false glory pat-on-the-back today for getting #Carrier to not move their manufacturing to Mexico. This of course is false. Trump says 1100 jobs were saved when it turns out to be roughly 730 jobs. Carrier is still moving 550 jobs to Mexico and another 700 employees will simply be canned, something Trump will not state. Trump’s campaign rhetoric was that he would force domestic manufacturers to remain in the US by theatening a 35% tax on imports (he doesn’t mention all the Trump products that are imported). Trump and Mike Pence instead awarded Carrier with 7 million dollars in tax incentives over a 10 year period, in effect ransoming the Indiana tax payers.
