*knock, knock* (Weeks? Centuries)

(Centuries later - a not dead reunion):

Armand wasn't expecting any visitors, bit unexpected guests were de rigour at Trinity Gate. Opening the door, it took all his poise not to slam the door closed again. Rational mind over taking his emotional reaction he instead reached out at first to grab this spectre inside. Hands curling halfway into a gentle caress of wonder to stroke at a face he knew very well, from centuries past. "Nicolas! You better have a damn good reason for not being dead and arriving on my doorstep now." Now as in not all that time ago.

Marius looked up quickly at the sound. Moving to the door, blue eyes lit up at the sight of his fledgling. “ Good evening, Amadeo. Please, come in.” He offered, holding the door open a bit further.

Marius had watched Armand, the color returning to his face even more. It was almost romantic, this sharing of the hunt. He smiled, leaning in to press a kiss, albeit daringly, to plumped and tender lips. “It is very pleasing to see you so warm.” He trailed off with that, not wanting anything to come between this night and their enjoyment. “There are many in the city to hunt. The whole area is crawling with the vermin that would kill for less than the cost of coffee. They hold no regard to life.” His fingers carded through his companion’s hair, his other hand coming up to be cleaned in the manner of a cat, as the blood of the woman’s heart still clung there. His arm came around Armand’s waist. “Shall we go?”

It had been so so long since he’d been so openly flirtatious with his maker, a lifetime ago truly. He was much easier to read now than he had been then, his untouchable saviour. Strong arms coiled around his narrow waist, a light kiss on his lips. “I thought so. I was bolder but less knowing if you then.” Gripping onto his maker tightly as he felt them raise aloft into the air. They landed on their quarries roof. Marius’ face had softened deep in thought as they’d flew, recalling memories of holding him as a mortal and barely dead fledgling. Following Marius down the buildings edge and through an open window. “Your turn this time, Marius. I do so love to watch you hunt also.”

Marius nodded in relief. “Then let me scare them back to welcoming arms…” He whispered. He sped up, his hand  resting in the small of Armand’s back to urge him along as well. He sent the mind gift out, causing the trash cans in front of them to fly, hitting the side of the building across from them. One of the boys screamed. He turned to them, a small smile on his face. “Let us disappear out of their sight then.” He whispered, hoping that the trick of the eye would be the last urge they needed to be gone. Pulling Armand close to him, he willed them up faster than mortal eyes could see. It was only to the top of the building, but he could hear the boys running, some yelling as they did so.

He looked to his companion, studying his face. “I must apologize, my darling. I did not mean to upset you. I confess, I was hoping you’d deny such a kill..”

Marius’ use of his mind gift to startle and scare off their young stalkers had the desired affect of misdirection. He went along with his makers dash of speed, allowing him to carry him ahead then to a roof top above the alleys. “Apology accepted. But we are beyond you testing my moral scruples relating to hunting by now, aren’t we. Shall we find someone more suitable to both our tastes then. An out and out villain would be nice.” Looking out at the sky line.

Marius nodded, feeling a bit of shame for such an action. “I do apologize, then. Yes, let us find one who is best suited for such a feast..” There were many that hid well in the city, ones he’d left for such a night, ones that the police didn’t even know of. “Let’s go down a bit further. I think I have just the individual in mind…” Indeed, the individual in question had ruined more lives than both immortals put together. Everything from drugs to sex and murder had been on her menu. Marius felt the thirst rise, but pushed it down as he headed to the doorway. “Shall we go or should we take to the air?” He offered as a second thought. The idea of carrying Armand flitted through his mind and he felt himself blush slightly, remembering many nights past.

Watching Marius being suitably a bashed was quite refreshing, and pleased Armand on many levels. It was nice to feel on a level footing with his Master.

“Good. I’m not simply your pupil to play with and test, Marius. I’m an equal hopefully in your heart, as well as your mind. Take us to this she-devil then hmmm.” Noticing the blush on his makers porcelain pale face. “Why Marius. A flush has risen in see. What thoughts crossed your mind?” Leaning in closer to his maker. Standing on tiptoe to speak into the others ear. “Mayhaps it travelled back to a distant past? Did you want to carry me there as of old?” He’d been such a daring, naive tease when he’d been mortal and then when fresh in the blood. The spirit of Amadeo lived on within him, with every uttered, cleverly construed quip. He was just far better at volleying comments back now in this form. Slipping arms about Marius’ neck. “Carry me then if you wish?” Smiling up at the older, taller vampire.

The kiss ended quicker than he’d hoped. Old habits, how easily he was ensnared by them. “Yes to the alleys, always to such picturesque places!” I jested adding “Your first lesson, always hide the kill, Marius?” I remarked cheekily, as his arms loop around my waist. Wondering what his solution would be fire or dropping to places unknown

“My, that sharp tongue of yours..” He teased in return.Marius looked over the body once more. Armand did have a point and the last thing he wanted was to get sloppy. Sending his mind out, the body caught at the shirt first before burning down. A charred body would be a puzzle for the police, but would cover the hunt well enough. Gently motioning for Armand to follow, he directed them further into the city where the homeless were plentiful, as well as drug dealers and murderers. Once again, they looked more than a little out of place. Soft footfalls behind them queued him into followers. “ I think our prey just picked us, love. Aren’t we the lucky ones.” He mused softly, his words low enough that only Armand would’ve heard. They were young, causing him to feel a pang of guilt at the thought. They weren’t even old enough to be out of school yet, but their body count was apparent. The evil ones were getting younger, it seemed, a sign of the darker side of the city.

"I sharpened it especially for tonight." Tongue in cheek. Watching as the body seemingly combust education under his makers command. That hides the evidence neatly. He followed on his makers heels, it didn't take more than a few moments in this labyrinthine wrong side of town to gain a few shadows at their hills. Youths barely as old as he when Marius found and took him in. They may have caused death but he wouldn't be the ones to cause their demises. No. Not tonight. He whispered to his maker succinctly. "No they're the lucky ones. I won't deal death on ones barely old enough to reach my pocket to pick. Scare them off by all means. Their too young to know their evil, let alone be responsible for it. Find us other prey. I won't do this." Hoping his words were firm but explanatory. Looking up into his face to see if Marius understood.

This was not turning out as the horrible lump of flesh had expected at all. Confusion then the underlining fear of a coward, flooded the would be attackers mind. Armand just fanned the flames. Making the brute see him as a very special version of Karmic justice. Armand responded to the kiss on the cheek far more than he had thought he would. Leaning into the small sign if affection. “I didn’t want you to miss half of the fun. Did you read his plans for me? Quite graphic wasnt he? How terrible for the predator to become the prey hmmm. His minds quite stuttering at the juxtaposition of this situation. Small man that I am… ” He was no waif but compares to this one he was. “And I assumed rightly I think that you wanted to watch, like old days yes?” Noticing Marius had the mans wrist ready to take a bite. Him first then. Leaning in with eyes still on Marius he bared the man in questions throat, biting into the jugular vein on a neck as thick nearly as his lower thigh. Little David to a perverted Goliath.

The little motion in his direction at the kiss, that soft nuzzle, did not go unnoticed. He smiled at the words, nodding slightly. “I must say that any vampire in close proximity likely knows exactly where we are because of those thoughts, darling.” He mused, turning the man’s hand in his. The brute tried to pull away, but there was no breaking an immortals grip.Marius watched his  companion sink his fangs, a soft smile on his face. Ah, like old times indeed. He wanted to reach out, to stroke the stray curls away from his face, but he dared not. He brought the wrist up, kissing the flesh there before allowing those deadly teeth to break the skin. A soft moan escaped him as the blood flooded his senses, erotic moments and guttural ideas spewing from the dying man like venom from a dying snake. He could sense Armand through the blood, feel the closeness. After a few swallows of that deceitful nectar, he let go and healed the wound. The thirst revolted against his cut off from such a beautiful fount, but his mind was more on watching his lover than feeding.

Marius noted his turn into that kiss. His maker appeared pleased. As I drank from this man, images of what he’d wanted to do flashed sickeningly in his minds eye. What this one had done to countless souls made an anger burn fiercely in his belly. Innocence in all its forms taken, souls dredged in his darkness. Then he felt Marius through this link, the bridge this man provided for them. A thought reached his ears, he heard the whisper of a want. To run hands through his reddish locks as he had so many nights in another life. I pinched the mans neck punching through his ribs to clasp the heart. It still pulsed. The evildoer had felt real fear just before I took his heart. “For you Marius” I cooed. Staring up into the icy blue stare I knew so well. I’d need to clean up after all.

Marius watched, an intimate fascination taking hold of him. When Armand pulled the heart out of the man’s chest he felt that yearning once more. He took the offered heart, eyes locked onto his companion. Biting into the little organ, he moaned as the fluids filled his mouth. He drank, pulling every drop he could out of the heart before allowing it to fall, a dried pulp, to the ground. A sigh escaped  him as he moved, catching Armand’s neck before pulling him in to place lips against  his. “Thank  you, love..”

Marius had taken the heart gratefully. Consuming every last drop of blood from its chambers. All the while staring at me. Strong artists hands catching Armand at the neck pulling him nearer to plant a kiss on his mouth. Breathy words of thanks and endearments. I pulled back almost shyly. "Shall we see who else we can ensnare, Marius?" The night was young after all.

Cradling the whiskey, swirled the tumblr, smelling the strong liquor with relish. Daniel had given him this beverage to favour. Subtly turning to casually survey the bar. Taking in the large man, all muscle behind them. Eyes making an assessment as his mind focused on what was playing in this mortals thoughts as they sat. He was definitely this one’s type, young, petite. “A sess pit to be sure….” He smiled at Marius. Eyebrows raised. “As little time as that.” Thinking on his to play this covert hunt. “Shall I see if he follows me to the rest rooms? Or shall I go and you follow? - assuming you want to share ofcourse. Or shall we snare a few and play piedmont piper deeper into this shady part of town?”

He couldn’t help but watch Armand, noting the emotions that crossed his face. It seemed that the drink in front of him held more memories than he could imagine.Marius chuckled at the gesture, pretending to take a sip of his own drink. “I do believe he would follow you. I could follow him once he moves and we could share. Why not play and share?” He offered. Leaning back a bit, he looked over to the bartender once more. “ It seems our dear man has plans for you.” He whispered, low enough only vampiric hearing could pick it up. “I think he’s waiting for you to order again. The next drink will likely be laced..”

He ignored Marius’ appraisal of him as he surveyed the bar. He didn’t mind the long stare. Not tonight. Oddly. The laugh was as rich as he recalled. Multilayered and now he wondered how he had ever thought Marius was human? “Yes. Let’s share, and next have one each hmmm. The nights young. And there’s so many of our type of prey here it seems a shame to not take advantage.“ He felt the breath against his ear as Marius confided his knowledge of the bartender too. “Well am I not lucky too clamouring for my attention. Perhaps I’ll take the next drink. Then stagger to the bar seemingly under the drugs affects. Interesting to see who would pounce first. You follow behind. And we can perhaps have two yet at the same time.” Touching Marius’ hand. He poured his whiskey down the nearby sluice drain. No one would pay attention. He’d projected all he wanted anyone to see. “Another round, Darling.” Smiling up at Marius through dusky lashes. Knowing how appealing he looked then. Feeling three pairs of eyes rover over him

Marius smiled at the notion of sharing which ever decided to follow. He had a feeling that the bartender wouldn’t have a chance, but the man sitting with his eyes glued to his cherub was another story. There’d be plenty of blood either way. The bartender caught the sight of Armand’s drink empty, a small smirk coming to his face. He was quick enough to pour another, bringing it to set in front of the redhead with a smile and a wink. “Take it easy, there. This is strong whiskey, after all.” He joked before getting a light glare from Marius.

He sent out the mind gift, encouraging the other patrons to place more orders. The tabs began to pour in, eliminating the chance of the bartender getting away for any trouble. “ I think now would be the perfect time, love. Shall I meet you outside?” He offered, leaning over to kiss Armand’s cheek before turning, feigning distraction by someone over in the corner. It was an easy ploy, as the noisier customers were being rather clumsy. ‘He’ll follow and I’ll be close behind.’ He assured Armand even though he knew it to be shallow. His fledgling could very much hold his own, even in mortal years.

Watching Marius’ glare directed at the barman Armand felt himself warming to this game. He pretended to swig the drink. Waited a few moments and maintained the illusion that he needed some air. Leanimg into Marius as he kissed his cheek, to tell him. “He seems to have taken the bait, see you in a moment then.” He’d banked to the right, looking at the many rabbit warren side streets, he was doubtlessly going to be dragged down by the hulking man he could sense coming towards him. Faking leaning heavily against the wall as if he would be sick or passout. This one’s thoughts hit him like a physical blow. Fantasies crowding for attention. A quick appraisal to see if anyone was watching. Then his arm was grabbed and he was pulled by his arm, another huge hand pulling into his hair. The thrill of being discovered was gratifying for this dealer of misery. He wanted Marius to come out so he could watch as he violated me. Men like this Armand thought I could dine on all night. The brute had me pushed against the wall. Leaning in for a kiss. He placed a deceptively delicate hand flat against his attackers chest and easily held him off. Wishing his maker would join us so I could hurt him.
