Bagginshield Fic Rec
I can’t believe I’ve had such an intense revival into The Hobbit Fandom after being obsessed with the movies when they came out just over 10 years ago now. There’s just some fandoms that have consistently amazing fanfics that are written beautifully and with such interesting concepts.
Some of these are a bit silly and cracky but i think that’s the appeal of The Hobbit, it’s a bit more cheerful than LOTR (vehemently ignoring Battle of the Five Armies)
So below is a list of fics I have loved reading organised by word count smallest to largest.
If you have any fics that you’ve read and don’t see here please share them with me! P.S, if you need more fics to read after these please check out the author’s other works.
I don't post this enough but this is still my most favourite shot of the entire Hobbit trilogy. It's everything.
The colours, the composition, the significance and meaning, the turnover/new chapter of the dynamics between Bilbo and Thorin. I could look at it for hours. I definitely can talk about it for hours.
It also reminds me of all the things we didn't get... All the things that could be canon... All the things we should've got.
the reason I love alternating POV bagginshield is because Bilbo is always thinking, oh I have such a crush on Thorin I need to stamp this out this could never happen I need to get over this and I’m just happy he finally considers me a friend and meanwhile Thorin is like, Bilbo my beloved, my most treasured, my One, why is he not responding to my very circuitous and secret dwarven courting customs, I’ve already picked out our wedding colors
S32 - E37: Tomesaburou and Isaku's Day Off [ENG SUB]
Kema Tomesaburou-senpai and Zenpouji Isaku-senpai are always busy with committee work. By chance, neither of them have any committee work on their day off, so the two decide to go out and relax for once, but…
Bonus:
I don't care what y'all say these two motherfuckers were gay as hell. Like I'm not even joking, I get why book readers argue against it, the two don't really interact much in it. But the movie, come on man like it's so obvious
Down down down to The Hobbit hole again. I do these sketch exercises before I start working.
gay people can never say 'I love you' it's always gotta be some shit like "I have never been so wrong, in all my life"
bagginshield fandom how we feeling
just imagine a final panel showing balin’s long suffering face cause he literally just had the same conversation with the hobbit in question five minutes earlier.
there are many benefits to being a royal adviser. getting pestered for dating advice is not one of them.
Happy 10th anniversary to my favourite part of The Hobbit trilogy!
