there's something so uncannily endearing about day's calmness. the peculiarness of his gentle smile doesn't match the brightest glint in his darkening eyes—awaiting tears hanging onto the last thread of manufactured composure—and mork wonders if day isn't crying because of him.

or a retelling of episode 10 where mork and day don't get back together.

i'm changing my sidebar image from this:

to this:

i love guncher with all my soul but that topmew forehead kiss changed me as a person. probably because it's mew kissing top. i can't. i'm never a strong soldier, let alone a fighter of emotions.

my new sidebar image... morkday you're so beautiful <'3

mork savours the beauty of day with all senses, taking in the shy smile and challenging smirk gracing day's lips as they quietly undress each other. and every touch incites a familiar memory for them both, as day remarks, "you're still rough all over, phi." and mork smiles. so in love, he is.

The care is in the details (3/?):

Mhok gets into a fight with Porjai's a**hole of a boyfriend and, in the heat of the fight, he forgets about Day.

A carbon copy of the situation that got him into prison a year before.(and that P'Aof so *graciously* reminds us by filming and editing both scenes as mirrors T_T)

And when he loses his temper, he loses his sense of duty too.

(There's a theory going around that ponders what if, in the first episode, the call he receives and dismisses without answering before the fight is either from his sister or Porjai - to tell him about his sister's death:

Something that probably is haunting him ever since.)

So, in the fight scene in the market, when the shop owner comes to see the disaster they both have created, he says the magic words:

'Who will take responsibility?'

And that's when Mhok snaps out of it and remembers Day.

He panics and becomes desperate because he has made the mistake of letting his temper get over his common sense again and that could mean he could lose another person he cares about.

His reaction when he eventually finds Day says everything:

Teary-eyed, anguished and relieved at the same time (the way he breathes out speaks volumes). He didn't lose Day like he lost his sister, he finally found Day safe and sound.

I'm sorry, I really am. You're ok now. I'm right here, okay?

And he cares so much that he will make sure he's not letting him go ever again.

This show makes me so feral because it's pushing so many ideas and narratives about being seen without eyes and being understood and supporting each other and what it means to trust someone and what it means to have someone's attention and focus on you and how to face a future after a loss you never imagined surviving and what it means to learn to be a better person because you know that being better is all you want to be and now you can finally try but it's also about two young men who are laughing and joyous and flirting and joking even as all of that happens in them and to them and it's about coping with trauma in so many, many different ways.
