I don't know how to describe this video so I'll just write out what he's saying:
That is the beginning of an Israeli settlement. And this is the Palestinian village of Umm al-Hiran. Which is right now under a demolition order, in order to expand the settlement that way.
And we are not in the West Bank. We are in the Naqab desert. Every single Palestinian in that village has an Israeli passport. And yet they're being expelled to make way for a Jewish settlement.
And look at the hills around us. This place is empty. If Israel wants to build a settlement, they can do it anywhere. And yet they choose to do it here. Because the only purpose of that settlement is to expel Palestinians from their land.
This is happen all over the Naqab desert. Currently 14 Palestinian Bedouin communities are under demolition orders. And thousands of people are set to become homeless.
This is the most blatant illustration that Israel is an ethno-nationalist apartheid state. The Palestinians of Umm al-Hiran have the exact same citizenship as the settlers who are about to move into their land. And yet the Palestinians are being ethnically cleansed just because they belong to an ethno-cultural group that the Israeli state wants to suppress as much as possible.

ok last thing. but what people fundamentally need to get through their heads is the significance of gaza fundraisers not being the same as like mutual aid when you're helping someone get groceries, because it is a genocide. there is insane deliberate scarcity and prices are unmanageable, because there is nowhere nearly enough for everyone, so only people who can pay can eat. and what positioning individual fundraisers as the only course of action does is quite simply give a tiny percentage of random people whose fundraisers take off the ability to pay those prices while thousands of others can't. and every one of those thousands of people without a fundraiser is suffering through the same inconceivably horrific reality. it is giving a few completely desperate people out of hundreds of thousands a slightly more favorable position in a horrific war economy of imposed scarcity. and what grassroots community kitchens do is try to mitigate in some small way that inconceivable hierarchy of who can pay and who can't, by stretching ingredients as far as they can last to cook meals at large scale and give them out at no cost. and obviously people are still going to send money to their friends and families because this is hell what else are we supposed to do but please just think about that before promoting endless individual fundraisers as somehow the most ethical way to help
Operation Olive Branch has a spreadsheet dedicated to mutual aid, local distro, community kitchens, etc. in Gaza.
This is a good place to start if seeking to donate to a community resilience action. Just contact the group(s) directly to make sure they are still active. Life in Gaza and Palestine is full of uncertainty.

Mira's condition deteriorated. She initially suffered from severe pneumonia, then Mira suffered an injury to her hand and suffered a fracture in her hand. At the same time, she had a high temperature due to the cold, and began coughing a lot and suffering from chest infections. Today I entered the ninth month and I am about to give birth to my child, who does not know what suffering and hunger awaits him. There is no money to buy clothes and diapers due to the high prices.

lot of people screencapping scratch a liberal tweets from the last few days and idk didn't feel particularly useful to me bc it's the same shit i've been getting in my inbox for a year but like. literal nazification of the democratic party don't know how else to describe it
"You cant be trans without dysphoria" is so wild to me like my identity is not defined by suffering. Sure we are united by a shared fight to get rights and care but having the qualifier be that you have to hate your body seems like a recipe to create alot of confused trans ppl. Dont get me wrong, the dysphoria is real, im aware ill never be cute or pretty and that hurts. But i built myself out of love for the strong women in my life. Many times they shared that same dysphoria with me.
If i ever met someone trans who had no dysphoria i would be so happy for them. I want to help my trans siblings get there too, help them feel joy in their beautiful bodies. Having a good day where the dysphoria is gone doesnt make anyone less trans. Trans suffering has never been the metric for being trans enough. If someone wants to be trans but cant take all the steps yet they are still trans. Why would i ever stop someone from looking at what me and my trans siblings do and thinking "i want that too".
We should be able to want things and hope without feeling like theyre out if reach. We are not here to just be a sad story.

I'm not actually sure if posts / fundraiser pages that contain photos and videos of children tend to raise more money, but god, I almost hope not
imagine being a parent trying to restrain the urge to rush to comfort your children because you think a video of them suffering might convince someone to help them. or a woman who normally doesn't post photos for religious reasons having to weigh your principles against the idea that posting a photo might help you get something to eat. or one of these children growing up, knowing that these photos are out there & that they can be seen and shared around by the very people who want to exterminate them.
when Mohammed went to try to salvage something from his destroyed home, he made sure to take lots of photos and videos in between being shot at by IOF soldiers so that he could prove he had done everything he could to try to provide his family with winter supplies before he turned to the internet.
we need to start sharing and giving regardless of how attractive, convincing, well-worded, or emotionally affecting a post is. we cannot keep forcing people to make these kinds of choices to try to get help.
