A very sobering of most of the accidents we know that have happened in our profession.
Net neutrality rules restored by US agency, reversing Trump

Between this and striking down no compete clauses, it's been a good month for the US worker. Or at least, getting better.
The slowdown.
I hope you guys are well. I hope things are doing alright where you are and you've found your way during this time. I'm hoping that this is momentary, and next year production starts up in full swing. But damn, is it sparse right now. It's not just you, it's not just you being singled out. it's world wide and it's going to take some time for Productions and Networks to figure out what the new model should be. Things have been hit or miss since the beginning of last year, and this year productions more often than not have been canceling jobs after just starting up. Either losing financial backing, or just pulling up stakes and moving to a right to work state and paying out even less. Save what you can, don't ever feel bad about taking a survival job. You gotta live, and living costs money. Just making it through this time and we'll see you on set. -Griffin & Val
This shit's been around for a while too. Everyone's trying to make money off of someone else's effort.
Still here gang, just surviving this non recession/ possible strike year. More soon.

When scheduling in MMS, how do I go about splitting a scene? For example, what if most shots in Sc. 1 are main unit, but I have a single shot that's a quick insert not requiring any talent and I want to shoot that later/elsewhere.
Just make another strip (can hit add sheet or duplicate sheet if it shares the same elements) and then part out the scene. So Sc. 122 becomes Sc. 122pt1 and 122.pt2 and move the part two to where you need it on the schedule.
Sorry gang, still alive here. Been working a lot, resting a bit and hitting the slowdown season. Will try to come back and post more.
What a year what a year.
We are planners, providers, explainers, and preppers. When Covid hit, it was like a bomb going off and everything shut down. And in some cases of Stage work, it’s still down. But we don’t operate that way forever. We can’t if we’re ADs, and people used to making a mountain out of a mole hill. We took stock of things and even relaxed a little. And then we got to work. We took Covid classes, Hazmat training. Interviewed Doctors, Virologists, biologists, Epidemiologist, and then we got back to work. Not paid, but back to work on “The Plan.” The Plan to get everyone back to work safely and with care. All unions, agencies and departments coordinating with all the knowledge we gained to fight this massive unemployement. Nothing is fool proof and it required getting the crew who can’t pay attention to a callsheet, to pay attention to Keeping us all Working and Alive. I want to give thanks to all our Covid officers, HSMs, HSSs, cleaners, schedulers and testers, who worked hard and studied everything to get production back in the swing of things. Here’s to a safer, healthier 2021, and getting production back in full swing.
Always helpful to ask your Covid officer a question or two. Make sure they know which end the swab gets put in.
What does NR stand for
Where on the callsheet? If it was under your name by crew I’m assuming Non Report, but easier to write N/C (No Call.)
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE’S STILLS?
