D’Souza: With Obama you get this idea that his real enemies, from his point of view, it’s not Putin and it’s not Islamic radicals, it’s us. He’s waging a kind of war, a political war if you will, using the instruments of the state against conservatives and he’s good at that war and he’s fighting it aggressively. Dinesh D’Souza tweeted:

I am thankful this week when I remember that America is big enough and great enough to survive Grown-Up Trayvon in the White House!

And given his history as an Obama hater, we're pretty sure he didn't mean Trayvon as an innocent kid harassed and unjustly attacked by a racist. Nope, he's comparing Obama to the George Zimmerman version of Trayvon as a thug who society needs to be protected from.

And in case there was any doubt, Mr. D'Souza deleted the tweet as the uproar started, but thanks to @AngryBlackLady we have a screenshot:

It was a racist slur, and D'Souza knew his audience would see it that way. His mock defense that "Obama compared himself to Trayvon" doesn't fly either, since Obama's comparison was to highlight how Trayvon had been unjustly profiled and killed, whereas D'Souza is saying that Obama is all the awful things that racists said about Trayvon. And for that he is Asshole of the Day.

It is Dinesh D’Souza's first time as Asshole of the Day, but only just one more racist asshole for saying bad things about Trayvon Martin.
