Carnelian’s fists were still clenched as she looked away ashamedly, in the shadow of the wall of brambles that stood between her and the outlaw gem.
“I...am sorry.” she murmered.

“Perhaps now you would like to cooperate?”
((response to this post by ask-ametrine))
“U- uhm you guys I really think we ought to talk this through calmly - !”
((response to this post by askmossagate))
“I see you question my ownership of this world… yet there is a reason that no one has been able to take it from me. Care to find out why?”
((respone to this post by ask-ametrine))
“And furthermore, non-homewrld affiliated gems are not permitted planet ownership of any kind, so simply put, this is no-one’s territory.”
Moss had started to flap about anxiously as soon as Carnelian had drawn her weapon, knowing full well how short her friend’s temper was, but also knowing that it was probably initiated mostly out of protectiveness. That and Carnie’s tendancy to ‘bite before being bitten’ after being stepped on too much over the years.

“I would much rather us cooperate, though. It’s up to you.”
((Oooooh boy, things are getting serious...))

Carnelian stood resolutely in the way of the wreck, her deep crimson eyes glaring stubbornly at the renegade gem, ignoring her comrade’s outburst.
“I am doing this for both our sakes Moss. I do not trust that gem. Who knows what she might do to our ship? This could all be a trap.”

“And as for the dangers of this planet, the only things you should worry about are in the forests and jungles. This beach is perfectly safe.”
Ametrine gestured toward the shipwreck, starting to walk over to it.
“Shall I take a look at your ship, then?”

With a slightly exasperated expression, Moss apologised to her new aquaintance.
“Forgive her, she’s always like this with new gems. Though she seems expecially bad with you...it must be because you’re Wanted at Homeworld. Carnelian is still figuring out whether she stands with her alignment to the Diamond Authority - myself, I don’t care as long as they don’t bother me.”
She looked at the slightly smoking remains of her old ship and smiled.
“Only spare what you don’t need - I’d hate to feel like I’m stealing your parts after you took the trouble to gather them...”

Ametrine approached the wreckage as two gems came out of the rubble.
“You sure seem eager to meet a criminal, not even a moment of hesitation, haha!”
Ametrine looked back at the shipwreck.
“Ahh… crashing your ship probably didn’t help much for this, but lucky for you two I had -conveniently- just gathered a bunch of spare parts. I was going to fix up one of my other ships with these materials, but I can see that you two definitely need it more than I do.”
So yeah, this character is so fabulous it demanded fan-art. This is Ametrine who belongs to deer-head-xiris! Check out their ask blog ask-ametrine!

Having managed to just about crash her ship lightly enough to avoid damaging both herself and her engineer’s physical forms, Moss scanned the beach for the gem known as Ametrine, the wanted criminal. Still on a slight adrenaline high from the descent (she had always wanted to crash a Homeworld ship), she continued to call out across the bay, looking even more dishevelled and wild than usual.
“My partner and myself are not strong supporters of Homeworld, despite what she says and the fact we are still affiliated with them. We would be very grateful for any assistance you can give us!”
In truth, Moss was a little intimidated to be meeting the famous outlaw Ametrine, having herself not the courage to break ties with the Homeworld completely, for fear of being persued just as she had seen other gems hunted down.

Ametrine composed herself, and thought carefully about this message. This transmission came from a homeworld vessel. Ametrine would have to be careful about this, considering she is a wanted criminal. She would have left someone else to help them but… Ametrine was the only able nearby ship, and she knew this. She put her hesitation aside, knowing that she had to help this ship. She turned on ship communications.
“Hello! This is Ametrine, Captain of the Haven’s Bells Battle Ship. I’ve sent you a map to my current location. I am willing to help you with ship repairs, however, you must keep our meeting a secret. I can see you are a homeworld vessel, and the gem homeworld is not very fond of me. If you wish to turn me in, you are welcome to try, but that will surely make your situation worse than it already is. That, I can promise you. I await your response!”
Ametrine cut off the message. She was very cautious when it came to homeworld gems, but she can’t turn down someone when they’re in need of help.
WE… ARE THE STARDUST GEMS!
