This week has been weirdly stressful and I needed a light project to focus on that allowed me to decompress and listen to podcasts while I worked on it. So the obvious thing to do was to hand-draw a map of Thedas, the world of Dragon Age.
Here we are side by side, for scale:
My reference was the @wyrdsistersofthedas incredibly detailed map (misspellings and mistakes are my own if there’s something I learned is that I was not born to be a cartographer!) and the style of the map itself is largely based on Tolkien’s. I used my everyday handwriting and a lazy modern font for the larger toponyms, so nothing special calligraphy-wise.
