no yeah it’s cool how noah had his identity stripped from him in death but you can still find bits of it reflected in his friends. like how him and blue are both mirrors. or the way that he and gansey are both good at finding things. or like ronan being a reckless punk with a heart of gold just like noah was in life. or how adam never feels awake the same way that noah can never be awake again. or henry and him both sometimes needing a reminder that they’re something more. because henry might not directly be noah’s friend but he is important to the people noah considers important. yeah i’m like really normal about it actually

i actually can't process why people don't like mai. is it because of the "i just asked if you were cold" scene. is that it. okay LISTEN i will go to bat for her. she says it herself in the beach episode, she's been raised to not share her opinion or like. care about anything. she probably deflects in that moment because it's obviously an emotionally heavy conversation and she's been told her entire life not to share her feelings. or share other people's feelings, tbh.

she's ngl pretty incompatible as a match for zuko, who is constantly full of feelings, and needs someone who can help him work through them in his life, like iroh or katara. but that does not make mai the stone cold bitch y'all haters want her to be. i promise she's fluffy on the inside, the stone cold bitch is but a thin outer shell that protects all the love and care she contains within herself

I don't hate Mai, but i don't feel like i'm given very much reason to like her, either.

Mai didn't seem to have any issues joining Azula to bring Zuko back to the Fire Nation in chains -- or dead. She never tried to meet Zuko where he was. She dismissed his feelings when he tried to share them, and yelled at him when he tried to explain his reasons for siding with the Avatar against the Fire Nation. I'm not saying Zuko was a perfect, unobjectionable boyfriend, but his failures don't cancel out Mai's. The one good thing she does in the show is stand up to Azula for Zuko, and that comes out of nowhere with no basis in anything she's said or done up to that point.

I've seen versions of Mai in fanfic that i've liked, somewhat, but it's all invention. Canonically, Mai never has an issue with the war. She doesn't ever show any signs of being intimidated by Azula. The dialogue about her parents being repressive is contradicted by what we actually see of her parents. She calls Zuko a traitor and refuses to listen to his reasoning. And then she turns up at the end, ready to restart her relationship with him, and tells him he's not allowed to break up with her. I'm not sure what i'm supposed to like.

At the end of the sliver chair, Jill and Eustace come back in their Narnian clothing and then they go change out of them. Jill wears hers to parties and things.

The thought is this: what if she leaves them at the professor’s house or the Pevensie’s and Susan winds up inheriting them? And she gets her hands on real Narnian clothes again and for once she’s not able to block out the sudden flood of memories that wash over her like the warm caress of spring

And she lifts them to her face and somehow she thinks she can still smell the Narnian air in the weave and- and- and I’m making myself sad

absolutely hilarious of Hollow Knight to answer the question "why are all the things I knock over back in perfect condition when I re-enter the room", a question that really doesn't need an answer because of how common it is in video games, with "there's a guild of bugs who are fixing things very very fast while you aren't looking"
