I often think about that Mr Rodgers’ quote about looking for the helpers. I have no money to donate to tragedies and very little influence to spread awareness. But I do have my silly little guys. And my silly little guys make people happy. So I try to be a helper by reminding people to take care of themselves. I’m glad I was able to do that, even if just for a moment.
Pet your animals for me too. Hold on to your joys. Thank you for being here and for surviving.
The horrors persist, but so will we 💕

Meet November's Pal of the Month... the Fish-Scaled Gecko!
Fish-scale geckos are small, plump reptiles with the largest scales of any known gecko! These scales are boney deposits known as osteoderms, similar armor to that of crocodilian skin.
But their most stunning trick comes in their escape. Unlike other lizards that shed their tails when caught by predators, the fish-scale gecko simply sheds its scales, leaving behind a pink, vulnerable skin! This adaptation has proved challenging for researchers, who struggle to capture specimens without losing a few layers of scales. No worries! Once lost, these scales will regrow within a few weeks!
The conservation status of fish-scale geckos is unknown, but considered to be of low concern. Any species can be impacted by environmental changes and habitat loss so it is important to continue monitoring their populations.

I think now that I've had time to sleep on it, my biggest issue with the ending of Agatha All Along is that I misunderstood the message. They continuously called her the "covenless" witch, but since teamwork was needed to open the road and to complete the trials, I assumed the message was that people need community. I thought that by the end of the Road, she'd realize what she was missing and be given her coven back as the prize for finishing the road. I know she's a morally-grey-leaning-into-villainous character in the comics, so it's not like I was expecting her to be 100% good by the end. But rather, her coven would counterbalance her evil. Kinda like how she was in the trials: working with the group but still always looking for the easy way out, or a way to save herself. The coven trying to rein her in.
I think I deeply misunderstood the character and where the story was going. It was so smartly written at the beginning that I thought it would lead to a well written pay off. By making it so the Road was conjured by Billy, I think it took away a lot of the tight storytelling and where I perceived the story was going. I found the ending that we got deeply unsatisfying as a result.
I forgot it was Marvel, and that they'd shoehorn in a male lead character to set up future projects.
I was focused on the witches. Marvel was focused on Billy.

Halloween crabs, with their striking black shells, vibrant orange legs, and bright purple claws, are a unique land crab species found in the coastal jungles of Mexico and Costa Rica. They can venture as far inland as half a mile! These nocturnal crabs spend their days hiding in burrows up to five feet deep, emerging at night to gather fallen leaves and seedlings to feast on!
Once a year, at the beginning of the rainy season, millions of these crabs embark on a mass migration to the ocean to breed. Females carry their eggs to the water and release them into the outgoing tide.
Halloween Crabs are not endangered. They are sometimes available in the exotic pet trade, though they may be tricky for beginners.
