The World's Greatest Need

By C. Austin Miles

A little more kindness and a little less greed; A little more giving and a little less need; A little more smile and a little less frown; A little less kicking a man when he's down; A little more 'we' and a little less 'I'; A little more laughs and a little less cry; A little more flowers on the pathway of life; And fewer on graves at the end of the strife.

Beneath the shade of an old leafy tree, Lies a cottage where life's truly free. Its windows glow with a warm, soft light, Keeping you safe, through the hush of night.

Beneath the moon's soft, silver glow, A sailboat drifts with the ocean's flow. A balmy breeze warms the night, While a black cat purrs in the garden light.

At night, the stars above will play, Over this cottage by the bay. A shooting star makes a wish come true, In this cozy haven, life feels new.

A life so simple, yet so grand, With ocean breezes, and soft warm sand. This tiny home, my heart's delight, A place of comfort, day and night.

Picnic

By Jen

Clear day- Lavender meadow stretches for miles. Partly cloudy, no chance of rain. The sun peaks out just enough To light a field of golden grain. I’m comfortable here, In a summer dress, Blanket on the ground, Picnic set; I look around, And there you are, Walking towards me On this dreamlike day.

Besides Still Waters

Beside the still waters He leadeth my soul,

To quench all my thirst, to heal and make whole.

Away from the torrents, so fierce in their rush

To shores that are peaceful, to rest in the hush.

I drink ‘til I’m filled. I’ll thirst nevermore.

But stay by His side, right here on the shore.
