Casual reminder that the Palestine Children's Relief Fund has a 97% on Charity Navigator and you should donate to it if u can. Despite the limited external aid that's been allowed into Gaza, they've been able to distribute a lot of aid internally. And they are providing needed aid to Lebanon.

That awkward moment post duel (and masked up cuz you have a flair for the dramatic) when you find yourself pinned against a wall in an alleyway by your best friend - the one who you’ve been in love with for years but never said it - and who you found yourself making a marriage pact with because neither of you thought you’d find someone by the time she turned 25.

Truly a one of a kind experience, huh?

Thank you @zkbigbang for hosting this year's event! It was my first big bang and I'm so happy I got to create art for the moon's blessings! I'm a HUGE fan of marriage pacts and other "Oops are we in love?" shenanigans, so this fic was so wonderful to draw for. Please give it a read and send the author some love!

My dear friends: When a librarian or teacher says "Audiobooks count as reading", we do not literally mean that audiobooks are the same as decoding visual meaning via symbols representing sounds. We mean, among other things:

  • Audiobooks can expose listeners to new vocabulary and forms of syntax.
  • Audiobooks can present listeners with long-form fictional narratives with engaging characters, interesting literary devices, and poetic turns of phrase.
  • Audiobooks can teach listeners new information in a long-form manner that goes into depth or wide breadth on a particular subject or subjects.
  • Audiobooks can help listeners' verbal comprehension skills.
  • Audiobooks can do all these things without presenting the same difficulties to blind, low vision, partially sighted, visually impaired, or dyslexic listeners; listeners with ADHD; listeners who experience physical difficulty with holding a book or e-reader; or listeners who are disabled in a host of other ways that a physical book or e-reader might present.
  • The written word is not specially imbued with magical noble worth above the spoken word, and if you think it is, you may have some ableism and/or racism to deconstruct.

emma woodhouse is the funniest austen girl. she has one-sided drama with the most reserved girl who has done nothing but literally just mind her business. she gets angry about not being invited to a social event even though she would have said no just because she would have liked to be asked. she's said she's aiming to read more for years but has never actually read more. she refers to her best friend as being naive and not very smart and kind of manipulates her while simultaneously both complicating her life greatly from the moment they meet to being her ride or die. she is literally The Problem. she denies that she is The Problem. she makes me want to pull my hair out. I love her more than anything.
