Many of y'all do not have ties with Russians outside those who speak English and those who speak English are either rather liberal (for a Russian) or pretend to be one. But most Ukrainians actually have relatives and former friends in Russian. We understand the Russian language. We know EXACTLY what they are talking about. And I can say for sure that the majority of them is not anti-imperialist anti-putin anti-war. They will say the war in Ukraine saddens them but treat occupied territories as part of their own land. They will say putin sucks because _their_ lives worsened and not because of Georgia, Chechnya and Ukraine. And most of them doesn't even think imperialism is bad. And many, many Russians are ok with putin. Many are apolitical and spineless, just letting to happen whatever happens. Many will go to one protest and give up. Too little, too late. They claim they are good people but aren't ready to risk anything to prove that

You think that under putin's dictatorship there's a land of incredibly beautiful and brave people - there isn't. All brave people are in jail (or killed) for a long time, specifically because the general public didn't stand up to protect them. Many brave people in Russia aren't Russian but members of indigenous nations who are colonized by the state. Russian government cracked upon the opposition (even way before Navalny), discriminated against national minorities and indigenous people (why is there no Ukrainian schools in Russia when it's the largest Ukrainian diaspora in the world?) and for a long time Russian people let it happen. They looked away and hoped they won't be next

Russian culture is soaked with imperialism. There are no "ifs" and "buts"

And with all due respect: stop making this about the abusers and make it about the abused - the Ukrainian people. Your desire to find good in people whose fathers and sons invaded a sovereign state is laughable. Think about your priorities

Any decent human will understand that the world restricting your country when it is attacking its neighbour is good. Any decent human will have a moral responsibility to do something about a war that your country is waging on other states. If your Russian friends aren't protesting rn and complain how hard it is to them, then don't consider them decent humans. They chose their comfort over the lives of others

This!

Drawing one or two leaves is manageable, but drawing a whole cluster of them is a different challenge altogether! I created a tutorial about conveying dense details, like foliage, quickly and efficiently - here’s a snippet from that video ✨

You can watch the full tutorial over on my Patreon! It's my latest tutorial which means that it's available for just $5 - next month it will go into the backlog which costs $10 to access. If you want this tutorial for $5, make sure you sign up this month!

a very famous headcannon in the fandom about dwarf culture, whose braids have meaning (including courting), but Bilbo doesn't know it

btw, I'm still traveling and working so I took a break from my modern au, but I did it so at least I wouldn't end up not posting anything

It's so weird that Jenna appears in the sequels as a side character at most, when she was such a big part of the original film. Aleu doesn't even interact with her as a grown up, and never even got to say goodbye to her. AU where she visits her elder mother after spending some years with the wolf pack.

Balto IV AU

What if Aleu's leadership in the pack was questioned, and she had to fight for her spot as leader?

I've seen the Balto films countless times, but Aleu is still the most interesting character to me. I really wanted to see her fully grown, and see her development in the wolf pack character arc. In Balto 2 she was discriminated against for having wolf blood, but in this sequel she learns to take pride in it, and learns that some wolves really dispise her for being half dog.

Scary boyfriend privilege? No. Scary sons privilege.

Bruce who can’t go anywhere without his newly adopted ward. He follows Bruce like a sunny shadow, grin always in place.

“Dick, can I hold your hand when we cross the street?”

Dick, very sweetly, “No.”

Bruce sighs, but accepts easily. Some guy scoffs at that and asks Bruce if he’ll let his kid just talk to him like that. His kid. His heart hurts in a very good way.

He’s about to say something, but Dick interrupts him, his teeth bared full, “Weren’t you on the news for hitting an old lady with your car?”

Bruce freezing. Dick goes back to his gameboy. They hold hands when they cross the street.

It’s both scary and comforting how little he changes when he’s an adult.

Jason, on the other hand.

Although he refuses to admit it, he does follow Bruce around, too, when his dad actually has to leave the manor. It’s when Alfred says he needs sun.

“You signed a contract, sir.”

Bruce sighing, “I signed it when I was 4. In black crayon. Those don’t count.”

Damian gasped, as if discovering a vile fact, sending an accusing glare Bruce’s way. “They don’t?”

Bruce needs an excuse to haul ass fast and that’s how Jason ends up chaperoning his socially awkward, disaster of a father in his quest to pick up food.

He’s a titanic presence next to Bruce, glaring off whoever stares a little too long or too appreciatively, strong arms crossed and his eyes hard and sharp.

Bruce gently taps his bicep and he hates the way he melts. “Do you want the chicken nuggets with or without apple slices?”

“Without.”

“Jay.”

“FINE.”

Give Jason his “he asked for No pickles” moment. It has to embarrass Bruce enough to jump in traffic, thought.

Damian has his own league and none of them can really compete with it. I think, during parent’s night, he drags Bruce off to proudly showcase his gallery of portraits.

Bruce is very moved when he realizes they’re almost all him.

There’s portraits of Dick, too, and Alfred, and a comically bad one of Tim. “Damian, they’re very beautiful. Thank you.”

“I painted them with the blood of your enemies.”

“…Thank you.”

It took Bruce by surprise, the first time it happened. "Bruce." Bruce startles, turning to look at the young ward at his side, seemingly having appeared out of nowhere. He hadn't even know Dick had left the house with him.

"Press the button." Dick prompts, arms tucked into his jacket pockets, a small, sunny smile on his face as he surveys the street.

"Oh," Bruce smiles awkwardly. "Right." Dick just hums back in response, arm looping around Bruce's as they cross, turning his head to follow a man that walks past.

"Hey, are you Bruce Wayne?" The man asks suddenly, stopping in the middle of the road to loop around and walk at Bruce's other side. Bruce opens his mouth to offer a polite acceptance, already reaching into his pocket for a pen to sign an autograph, or if worse comes to worse, some cash, but Dick is somehow on his other side now, a buffer between the two of them.

"Are you a sad middle aged man who still lives in his mother's basement?" His ward chirps with a wide smile, almost demonic in it's cheer, voice chirper even as he stares the man down. The man's cheeks flush an angry red but he pivots, marching back in the direction he came. Bruce lets go of the pen in his pocket slowly, unsure, but the man doesn't return.

"Come on," Dick turns, a genuine smile on his face, beaming up at Bruce, cheeks red with cold. He's glowing. "I wanna go to the park." Bruce turns without another word and leads them to the park.

Jason... Jason was different in his approach, though no less... aggressive. "Jay what do you want to eat?" Bruce asks quietly, nudging the boy at his side, idly flipping through his book. Bruce doesn't comment, but he's almost 99% sure that he left the house with a different one.

"Let's get McDonalds." Jason answers, finally looking up, handing his book to Bruce to hold. Bruce dutifully sticks it under his arm, offering his other hand to the little boy.

"McDonalds? Isn't there anything better bud?" He wrinkles his nose, a most unattractive face, but it makes Jason laugh, and that's all that matters. "Yes-uh." Jason draws out the word, huffing impatiently at Bruce as he leads the way. "You're too rich for your own good B." Bruce chuckles at that, bending down to scoop Jason into his arms.

"Of course I am Jay. That's why I have you. So I can spend it all on spoiling you." Jason laughs again at that, and the sound catches a ladies attention.

"You know, you really oughtn't do that once they're so old, it'll make them needy." She remarks, and Bruce's cheeks burn with embarrassment, arms already drooping to let Jason down, because of course he doesn't know how to father this child- he did this all the time with Dick what if- but Jason's fingers dig into his shoulder, keeping him fixed in Bruce's arms as he stares down the woman.

"Is that what you tell yourself Darla? That because your ex-husband held them so much more than you it made them "needy" and that's why they don't visit you on holidays?" The woman balks in outrage, but Jason is silent in his judgement, brutal. Bruce walks away quickly before she can raise a finger against his son, and Jason remains in his arms for the rest of the day, never once asking Bruce to so much as let his feet grace the ground.

uhhhh thats all i could manage for now- ill come back and add the rest later 🙃
