Birdtober Day 25: Cedar Waxwing (Bombycilla cedrorum)
Good news is I caught up after being a few days behind. Bad news is I am starting a new job that requires moderate-to-intense physical labor. I am not sure how much energy I will have in my free-time during the upcoming week.
Birdtober Day 23: Painted Bunting (Passerina ciris)
Birdtober Day 24: American Goldfinch (Spinus tristis)
Birdtober Day 21: Rufous Hummingbird (Selasphorus rufus)
Reference photo by Diana Roberts (Again, huge props to the photographer, what an amazing pose!)
Birdtobers 19: the Brown Pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis), and 20: the Greater Roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus).
These species are fun.
Sorry, no birdtober today. My head achy.
Birdtober Day 17: Great-tailed Grackle (Quiscalus mexicanus)
Birdtober Day 15: Red-headed Woodpecker (Melanerpes erythrocephalus)
I went for a more stylized look.

Birdtober Day 14: American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos)

Birdtober Day 13: Carolina Wren (Thryothorus ludovicianus).
I probably made the beak too big, oh well. :)
Birdtober Day 11: Barn Swallow (Hirundo rustica)
Reference: My photo
Birdtober Day 9: Ruby-crowned Kinglet (Corthylio calendura)
I really wanted to erase the face. Alas, no pencil, only pen.
Woah!!! I didn't expect so many people to like this one. Thank you!
