Tracker music formats such as MOD and XM were once a popular lightweight way of making and distributing music files. MIDI was even more popular, since its standard instrument set came with computers, making file sizes even smaller. But there was an even smaller format... an addition to the ANSI text encoding standard that made the PC beeper-speaker play music!?
