It's just me and my 14 library check-outs and upcoming holds against the world
This might be the most full my queue has ever been. It's good to go until like the end of January lmao
I have
- Two or Three books I started in October for Spooky Season that I still haven't gotten through
- A Book Club book I have to read by the end of the month
- Four nonfiction books I had planned to read for Nonfiction November
- A book I wanted to read in November for the Fall vibes
- Two ILLs that are a bigger deal if I keep them overdue (since they're not my library's, technically)
- About 10 other books I'm halfway through
But guys Veilguard came out this month (and along with it I've been wanting to write fic), I'm still 30 hours into Metaphor, Stardew Valley 1.6 dropped, I need to finish aai and aai2, and Fields of Mistria's first big update is next Monday. I have NOT been in the zone to read
Anyone else ever struggle with the feeling that their characters are all too samey and not different enough from each other
I'm not saying this to excuse some of the shortcomings that I definitely agree datv has but I think some would benefit from learning how to take a story and fill in the gaps yourself. The narrative doesn't always have to spell out every little detail for you and sometimes those gaps are intentional

It's a simple thing, but I LOVE that veilguard lets you customize the appearance of you and your companion's weapons and armor. Such a simple way to get around the classic "this weapon that has huge characterization and thematical significance is immediately obsolete in gameplay" problem
Spitballing here but
Veilguard got me writing again but Dragon Age means FIGHT SCENES
It wouldn't be fair of me to call out of work and I really can't afford to but Jesus Christ, dude
Please excuse the amount of vent posts I've had recently but I've been going through it the past couple days for no discernable reason and voicing it all generally helps
Bit the bullet and looked up the Veilguard spoilers. Obviously won't give anything away but it was the right call for me to go ahead and do it, I feel a lot better now about that in particular
Also I just remembered that Stardew Valley 1.6 dropped on switch, so that should help my self-care plan for later as well lol

Mayhaps.....the day that I am vaguely stressed and scatterbrained for unknown reasons......was not the day to hit my body with a cold brew + espresso combo
For me to do this to myself AGAIN on ELECTION DAY is wild behavior
You know when you're like. On the edge of sick. Like you're not sick but you KNOW something is off. Something is coming.
